Oh, another new YDT. I guess it was to be expected. At least this time I wasn't one of people getting spam filtered.
My day was... pretty uneventful. I did homework and spent a few hours trying to get my sixaxis working on this computer. It was a simple solution that took me way too long to find.

A discussion about abortion.
This is possibly one of the few times that I speak against abortion. But y'all can imagine it all by reading this:
- "Discussions about women giving abortion to kids with Down! Why is this even a discussion? PLEEZE, it's our body."

And I'm like "Yeah it's a bigger discussion actually, where does it end? Soon people will start aborting kids only 'cuz their hair color was wrong!"As to which she answers something like "So we're gonna make people give birth to their defective kids but abort perfectly normal kids?"
Oh you guys don't know how that set me off. Now here's the deal: I work with people with disabilities. I'm kinda their slave. And even though I fucking hate most of those on wheelchairs 'cuz they are ungrateful bastards that get all super mad when you offer a little help, they're still cool people. I hang out with all different kinds of people and with different syndromes n shit. They are PEOPLE.
My point was never to say that it would be more "right" for people with disabilities to be born, I simply said I didn't think it was right for a woman to have an abortion simply for that reason. Or because her baby is the wrong gender. Or because her baby is black. See my reasoning?
And she goes "Whatever I'm all for the woman's right to decide over her own body."
Well, this discussion wasn't even about the women's right, it was about them abusing their power. Yes, women have the right to stop a pregnancy if they don't want to have a baby or if they feel they can't handle it. But if a woman has decided to give birth to a child, but decides to have an abortion simply 'cuz the child is deaf or has any other disability, then she's abusing the power she has.

That may be so my dear, but have you also considered the costs of raising someone with a disability.
People with disabilities don't always get equal treatment. Also a child with disabilities has to deal with personal trauma by their peers who - as it happens are innocent of being bad.
Chilren will be chilren.If a parent can advert having a child with a disability, then this is fine too. But think aboot the parents who don't have the choice who live in places where advanced medical care is not available. What about those innocent lives? Who will be neglected, abandoned or even murdered after they are born.
