Sovereign indoctrinated the citadel! :O
Think about it.

New multiplayer maps kinda stink, they're so open.. get shot from everywhere. "Hack the computer" with reaper ravagers shooting you from 4 different sides make it quite hard to actually complete the objective :P
Harpoon gun.. I don't like it, need to shoot a Geth pyro 3-4 times? Hard to compensate for its travel time when aiming as well, many times harder if you're not the host. Charging it up doesn't seem to do all that much either. The new assault rifle kicks butt though, horrible horrible kickback - but lovely damage <3

I hate the Randomization of getting weapons, characters, and items. All I get are two good weapons the Geth Shot Gun and the Widow thats very much what I get from buying the Spector box and I can't even get a new character they keep giving me the same old character XP bonus.

The new striker assault rifle's kick isn't as bad if you equip it on a Turian... And mod it with the stabilizer.
(though i know if you do the same with the revenant it can actually kick *down* instead of up... So that might be an issue.)The sniper was just bad. Especially since it has an arc... Holding down the trigger might wffect that, though...
Haven't gotten the smg yet.Posted 1 year ago # -
Who the heck uses the SMGs in the first place? Never liked them.
I was considering the stabilizer but I was doing quite okay without.. just need to move down the mouse down a lot while shooting. Killing a Phantom was surprisingly easy, my lvl3 (Krogan!) soldier steamrolled them. Although perhaps it was just the difference between copper and silver and I'm not used to playing copper.. usually just stick to my Krogan Engineer and Silver matches.
The sniper rifle.. I think I'm missing out on something. Saw people posting they one-shot brutes/banshee's with it (infiltrator clock shot), I can't even take out a pyro with 3 shots..Think I'm sticking to my Geth Shotgun/Mattock combo for my engineer. What I like about the Geth Shotgun is that you can charge it up and release it while running towards to the enemy. Not to mention it has pretty crazy accuracy with the mod.. can shoot everything as long as the red targetting thingies surround them.

Its no big secret, Infiltrator can one shot someone if you spec them correctly into Weapons damage or 20% damage bonus they get when they are in Stealth mode.

Still seems unlikely to one shot a banshee.. those things take forever to go down. Will still take Reapers/Cerberus over Geth any day though.. rocket troopers always kick my ass, which is kinda odd as people are always complaining about the pyro's which I don't find to be much of a problem.
Could be due to my habbit of playing Krogan.. who can't dodge shit.Posted 1 year ago # -
I used a Asari Vangard got a Sniper Rifle and spec it into stasis. It work well for me considering I have a hard time shooting sometimes.

It work well for me considering I have a hard time shooting sometimes.Been doing that yesterday, that's one way to make the harpoon gun work although it's still horribly inaccurate at longer ranges. Ironically the Mattock (an assault rifle!) is more accurate.. just doesn't pack the same punch. Was doing quite okay like that, often netting spot #2 at the end scores, harpoon gun is now up to rank IV though (always unlock stuff I don't really want to use).
Favorite weapons so far:
SMG: None, Sniper Rifle: None.
Assault Rifle: Mattock, Heavy Pistol: M6-Carnifex, Shotgun: Geth Plasma Shotgun.
Geth Plasma Shotgun is a bit of a mixed bag, yay you can release the shot while running, boo you cannot aim for weak spots (headshots).Posted 1 year ago # -
The stats on some of the weapons confused me at first...
Like the geth sniper, geth shotgun, Arc pistol and the new sniper...Weapons with lower damage stats seemed to do a lot more damage, then I figured out that's the damage you do if you hold down the trigger for the maximum blast.
Though it may have been that I was slow :/Posted 1 year ago # -
I had a whole TL;DR typed out but then this stupid thing decided to crash. So instead I'll leave you with this:

Oh dear lord, just by the way she speaks I figured out who uploaded it..
btw, use Firefox - pretty sure it comes back up with whatever you had typed down after crash recovery? Can't remember when I last had that problem at least.

After reading much about ME3's ending I've reinforced my idea of what the ending is. For those of you who've played Bioshock, you'll find this familiar. I call ME3's ending: "Would you kindly...?"
Through out the series we are told we have choices to make. Choices that affect the outcome of the story. But at the end our choices don't really matter. It's the same as in Bioshock, we only have the illusion of choice. In the end, you were doing what the game told you to: pick between these options. But wait, the result was the same regardless. Did you cure the genophage? Either way you gained a whole race's backing. Did you destroy the Collector base? The Illusive Man got Reaper tech despite your efforts. Did you overwrite or destroy the heretic Geth? Doesn't matter because the Reapers still turned them against the Quarians.
Now remember how Soverign revealed that the Citadel and Mass Relays are of their design and usher alien species who find them along their planned path? Take that and think about the Crucible. Jarvik tells us each cycle adds to it, but who started it? The Relays were thought to be a Prothean invention and they believed the previous cycle's dominant species created it. The Reapers were the original designers of the Crucible. It requires the Citadel, a Reaper invention.
So why would the Reapers introduce the plans for a device that would defeat themselves? Because it does not. It infact eradicates all sentient organic life, similar to the Halo array. "Would you kindly...?"
We were Indoctrinated all along.

HOLY SHIT WE GOT GAINAX'D!!!!
Posted 1 year ago # -
I sure hope you don't think that was all intentional.

The reapers (or the stupid deux ex machina child) made a device that can destroy them because anyone who could find and use it would be breaking the cycle and deemed worthy. That's pretty much all there is to it. Only a small portion of the team wrote the ending and therefore it turned out like shit. There was no complex thought process behind it.
Please do not compare bioshock to mass effect 3's ending, that's insulting!
