Its hard to believe a rumor that Valves is making a Game console called the Steambox,I am just wondering what do you guys think?
If anything, it's a set-top box to download and play Steam games, probably?
But instead of working on a console they should be working on Half-life 3/Episode 3.

My laptop has one of the most powerful onboard graphic solutions on the market and it's weaksauce.
I think it would be more like a cloud-based streaming console.
Which could potentially make lags a problem in single-player...

Is there any really good game from valve aside from HL and CS? I found out good game like L4D is fun but only for a short time.
It's just gonna be a PC that allows you to play games from steam on it disguised as a video game console. This will make a standard for PC game companies and will most likely be more powerful than the current game consoles, making it cost more.
Meh, it's probably gonna be another overheat and break-down prone box of silicon and plastic like the good ol' 360.

Really Valve? .... i doubt they will use windows for this "console" and if they decide to make a Linux Distro , they will just get fragmentation ala Android because they must provide the source code for the OS as they get infected by the GPL license and other companies will try to make their own versions making game developers say , fuck that i dont wanna keep "improving" my code for the x number of Gabecubes clones out there.
