  1. Which girls or women do you adore for their boyish manly or agressive qualities?

2d or 3d, famous or infamous, where ever you find them, historical or even relatives.

  10. I love most anime tomboys. Girls in anime with a few tomboyish traits tend to become my favorite characters. I can't say that I have any particular favorite tomboy. There's just too many to choose from.

On the other hand, I usually don't like western tomboys nearly as much as I like anime tomboys >_>
I feel like western tomboys tend to either lose their tomboyish traits quickly or the writers try too hard to make a tomboy the manliest character by overloading them with stereo-typical manly traits. There are some that I like, but I'm too lazy right now to list them.

  12. It was a darn tough call but I picked 3-d!

It brightens my day whenever I see a girl flaunting a non-gender normative style!~ Or a guy too, for that matter. Though that is unfortunately a less common occurrence in the suburbs of Oregon.

    The beloved tomboyish daughter.

Also, I agree with H-ero and Jaku.

  16. I am weirdly attracted to their traits, spats, sukumizu-tan, short hair, sporty clothing etc. The favourite I guess... is Araragi Karen.

  17. 2D ftw

I know a real japanese one, and she's nothing like the 2d ones at all.

The charm with 2d tomboys is that they're tough on the outside, but they're actually very cute on the inside. They blush when they have to wear a skirt, and all in all it's probably about the embarrassment.

The girl I know is the complete opposite. Always wearing pants, doesn't care a bit to act or look cute, is pretty rough when talking, yet doesn't hang out with the guys, and is considered like a liberator by the other girls. Quite different from what was expected.

    This.

Western writers seem to feel the need to create female characters who are basically men with tits. Macho men with tits.

I'm not sure whether this is a misguided attempt at feminism or whether it's because of their latent homosexuality, but it's annoying.
