Hey, not every tomboy is necessarily going to have a massive erection tucked away in their shorts. As far as your attachment goes, a lot more is uncovered besides his/her midriff.

  3. I'm trying to say that your joke wasn't very funny, Aneko. No hard feelings. Shock humor doesn't go for much on SanCom, of all sites.

Let's just get back into our love of tomboys. Why is it that tomboyish girls and female characters seem to be much more accepted than girly boys?

Why is it that its ok for a girl to be in male clothes, while a guy dressing in a female clothes will result in many different situation?

Yeah, good point. Maybe male clothes are just more unisex and utilitarian.

If that shocked you, you're in dangerous waters.

You misunderstand; I meant that so much is shocking around here that one gets numbed to it pretty quick. Let's just drop it.

  8. And you misunderstand. It wasn't meant to be shocking, and it isn't.

Im thinking its just the way ppl think, and the idea passes from generation to generation, some ppl are unable to accept changes. Its like its nailed into them.

But, in plain terms, 'girls acting like boys' is more socially acceptable than 'boys acting like girls'. It seems that way.

Yup, but I think there is more boys acting like girls than girls acting like boys in Japan.

  13. I just noticed that I'm the only one who voted for my own waifu as sexiest tomboy.

There's a literal 'acting like girls' in kabuki, where there are all-male actors. Plus, Japan has quite a history of 'shudou' and the 'beautiful youth'.

To be honest his poll option doesn really make sense.

It all come down to the culture of that particular country.

  19. It's pretty much just woman's rights, isn't it? *shrug*

Women wanted to join the workforce and some of them didn't like the skimpy uniforms. Skirts are not only demeaning, they're practically inferior to pants no mater how you look at them.

Men never made a push as strong as the woman's rights movement, have never tried, and probably never will. Hyper-masculinity is frankly just too much fun for some guys. Ever seen a flock of ghetto dude defending their street cred by spamming the word "gay" as a derogatory adjective? I'm pretty sure that's what's holding men back... (Just IMHO of course.)

  20. Karula from Utawarerumono. Her hard-drinking and devil-may-care ways, crazy strength, and bike shorts add to her manly hotness.

Oh, and super-serious and secretly cute Touka is pretty great, too. I like to imagine that she and Karula become a yuri couple after they form a mercenary partnership at the end of the anime.
