   Omigawsh. The beta sign ups for Hawken are go. That means big stompy mechs will soon be under our control. STOMP. STOMP. STOMP.

   I take back every bad thing I have ever said about mechs – Hawken has me pumped and I don’t care who knows it! Upon revealing the game last year, Adhesive Games have had many people lapping up the breadcrumbs from their palms. I am anticipation! The clunking of metal, the chugging of machine guns, the weird air-sucking sound when they hover. Excuse me while I scramble for the nearest box of tissues.

   To sign up for beta access for Hawken, head on over to PLAYHAWKEN.COM and be greeted by a big picture and massive letters, have a little fiddle, and then fill in the form.

   It has also been very recently revealed that Hawken will be free-to-play and will be released on 12-12-12, that’s easy enough to remember, right?

    I'm still wondering why can'at the Japs make their mecha like this... Like for example the Armored Core series...

    I'd want a single player mode of this and get it on Steam.

    alot of japanese companies doesnt even make their games , they contract koreans companies for it , just the same way they use koreans for 3D CG stuff

    Yeah, for an Indie game, it's really quite awesome. I actually was surprised how an actual gameplay would look like that.

    I might try it, but I don't think this is something I would really want to play. The graphics do look good, but I don't like games where everything is just different shades of grey.

    The "different shades of grey" adds to the atmosphere very well, in my opinion. I understand your point though. I wouldn't have minded if it had a nice tree and a little flower garden somewhere either.

    I remember someone showing me Hawken last year, I think... Is that possible? I was just as impressed back then as I am now. I'm really hoping it'll be somewhat decent. But admittedly, the trailer shows almost nothing.
