So, China sucks, again. And now it's personal.

  1. In order to not derail the artist thread, I'll move the current discussion to its own thread.

So I don't know how many of you guys frequent the artist thread, but if you don't, then I'll let you know: I made a game and sold it last comiket.

And then I started selling it online at dlsite.com. Today I was very happy because I made my first sale. However, five minutes after that, I notice new incoming links on the game website. And what do I see?

The game was uploaded to some chinese game site.

So yeah, I now hate China.

  2. so you made a thread just to whine

  3. I don't get it. If the china-related part was so short, why mentioning it in the title...? It's not even what made you angry the most.

by the way, I didn't read the steam part. Way too long.

  4. tl;dr: I make game, China pirates it. Therefore, I hate China. That's all there is to it.

The rest is just an answer from the previous thread brought here not to derail the other thread. Ignore it if you wish.

Edit: Never mind, I deleted it. It was quite irrelevant.

  7. You should have been awared that everything becomes available for download on the webs. Why do you think the Japanese are so vent on the western on manga scanlations. It's expected.

I am sorry for the situation that had happened to you.

  9. You'll have to admit this

is not really what you'd call a fair reason to open a thread. There, there. If anything, you could have said that in "your day thread", which exists just because of silly updates you'd never open a new thread for.

  10. I will agree, that things have changed in gaming, that its now unbearable(?) to even dl a game via regular means. (such as steam)

at times, it does work - however - just like you described, its a PITA to install a bought copy, because if all the (security) questions, choices, menus options, and at times, this is all FORCED that you have no choice but to (sign up) when you don't want to.. ¬_¬ ...(at times) they even leave out that option.

Once UNINSTALLED, they do leave traces of unwanted - junk -material (also) these are so inbedded in the files, that one needs to really search about to remove them, because you know there - "there" - and knowing that is just bothersome.

    I'll be honest here...

I (personally) haven't - "bought a game" - (including other media) in a long while and when I hear of these type stories, it just makes it even more conducive to dl them using other (nefarious) means... just to enjoy them without all the - "additions"

Yea, I can suffer without (some) DVD aspects, additions, box-set exclusives and the same goes for games... such as the multi-player aspects, enjoying the single player method, and I also realize that's part of the - "give-in-take" - cause if you want something, you have give up one thing or another...

    it just works that way...

  11. You gotta suck that up, it has nothing to do with China...

  12. ...

At the risk of making myself look like an inconsiderate ass, I wanna ask you.

Will this make you stop watching anime online?

    Posted 4 years ago #
  13. I watch anime as aired on TV. If I miss something, I rent the dvd.

I haven't downloaded anime in several years.

    ======

If you still feel this way after a bit, just let me know, as your the OP and you decide...

However, though it was a - "bitch thread" - it did bring about a variance of other embedded topics to further discuss...

I digress, the decision will be yours Sir...
