  1. People in this thread and owners of a DS, explain to me the appeal. The flip-screen, early 2000's style pointer, ass munching resolution, and useless headache inducing gimmick astound me as to why it's so popular. I'm thinking of getting on, probably second hand, as there's quite a few games I'd like to play on it. Zero Escape, Shin Megami Tensei, and Gyakuten Saiban.

    Sell me on your favourite console! Also what model/color do you prefer? Is the XL worth it or just bigger screen same resolution? No 2DS thank you.

    My Pokemon 3DS XL.
    I bought it the day after I bought Pokemon X.

    You cat looks a little like one of my cats.

    You missed slow ass GPU.

    But I think it's mostly the exclusives as the Vita is a better device spec wise.

    Pokemon.

  4. Well. There's a lot of good games on it that are pretty worth it like the ones you mentioned which are reason enough to buy it. Then there's pokemon, ace attorney, luigi's mansion 2, animal crossing and fire emblem. And whatever other crap it has.

    Virtue's last reward is also better on it than the ps vita cause the ps vita has a shit touch screen.

    I'd recommend getting the XL. It is so much better than the regular one.

    That's really the only thing that appeals to me /cry

    @H-ero
    I really don't have an interest in playing Pokemon? Never had a Gameboy, and stuff that's super popular tends to put me off just a little (the fandom and popularity usually makes it a bit daunting and unapproachable somehow). If I do get a DS, which game do you recommend I start on?

    @Hikki
    You lie, PS Vita's touch screen is great. The only fault with it is it's prone to fingerprints and I can't find a matte screen sticker anywhere. You play animal crossing? How is it? It seems just like a console version of Farmville from what I've seen, with a little bit of IMVU or MySims mixed in. Is there any story/challenge at all?

    Thanks for the feedback guys, looking at XL models now~

    Netflix

  7. There's not story in animal crossing. The only thing you have to do is some small tasks at the start. Then upgrade your house. If you enjoy decorating a house and searching for shit this a pretty fun game. And having animal people as villagers.

    Also Isabelle makes it worth... Except she doesn't get enough game time.

    Also I've never liked the touch screen for the vita. It feels kinda unresponsive.

    The 3DS GPU is kinda weak most smart phone GPU's are comparable or faster and a Tegra curb stomps it.
    Though it's a very power efficient chip.

  12. It would appear that Nintendo has dropped support for Nintendo Letter Box (known as Swapnote in NA).

    That's a bummer if you ask me. I really liked the idea of being able to draw images and then send them as letters. I do hope they eventually bring it back in some kind of reformed matter (such as adding parental controlls perhaps so you can limit it), but one can probably expect it to not return.

    I wonder what will happen with the mascot, Nikkia, following this...
    She rather adorable and clearly the best mailbox mascot.

    I'm sure they'll do the parental controls.

    Shin Megami Tensei is easily 80 hrs if you aren't a crackhead. Worth the buy, great installment, so much better than Strange Journey.

    Pokemon/Monster Hunter 3U/Animal Crossing are the titles you'll play forever- MH3U however only has local play.

    Some really good eshop titles have come about and for less than $10 as well as the streetpass games being incredibly addicting, even prompting you not me neet and leave your house to get you need to advance.

    There are people that literally own no games but the streetpass ones and animal crossing along with a Netflix account.

    If your technophilia is what clouded your judgment from getting it as soon as you found out about SMTIV, I advice you to push that aside.

    Fire Emblem is also the resident Persona stand-in, if you must have your shipping fix.

    I'm just very particular about graphics and style when it comes to games, I can't really enjoy anything that isn't visually appealing, so that limits my game choices a lot. Netflix isn't available outside of the US anyway, I subscribed to Crunchyroll to try and do the right thing and pay for my animu but they won't let me watch anything in my region. Fire Emblem looks really cool, thanks for the game recommendations! I'll probably get a pink XL second hand or sth.

    Devil Survivor you mean? Overclock sure. It's not very long to be honest. Beat that game in like 30 hrs in the course of one weak. But they put an extra 5 hrs into the game I guess.

  18. Yeah, that. The 2nd is pretty good too.

    I put 100 hours in the first one though hue. I spent such a long time fusing demons.

    The story for 2 was trash. It was fun though. It was super animu, so I can see why anyone would love it, just not myself. Not following the first game anyways.

    But dat Fumi
