Just got questioned by my dad. He looked at my dakimakuras, figmas, poster, etc. Then asked me why I have all this "Girl stuff". He thinks I want a sex change.

Has anyone else had this happen?

I don't talk with my dad

My mother doesn't ask, I guess she just accepts it

  3. No. The only time he said something was back when i was 15 and switched some of my car posters to Playboy Bunnies. "Aha. I see girls are more interesting than cars now."

And in the end i turned into a Otaku who faps to 2D girls. xD
My Dad really doesn't care about my hobby since he doesn't know anything about it. My passion for guitars and music on the other hand...

  4. my parents know about my hobbies, but i usually do not express it by putting poster or dakimakura. Not all Asian people are open-minded as western people. (like how gay is still not acceptable in asian community)

  7. Though, I am - way out - of the league concerning this question, I'll place an answer anyway...

~ I'm way beyond worrying about what my parents (or anyone) for that matter says about what I have...

I have had these things for quite sometime now...

  8. I gotten questioned alot for my figure collection by my parents initially. After viewing them up-close, they definitely had a change of view of me. Now they think I'm some kind of pervert. :3

  9. Hmmm I started to get all my anime related stuff around the age of 13-14 and they thought it was normal at that age.

When I bought dolls and didn't get tired of them around the age of 17 they thought it was a bit strange - but they already think I'm crazy anyway.

So yeah, since I'm crazy, I haven't done anything to surprise them (yet). Even if I did buy a Candy Girl, they would be all like "Huh, you crazy bitch" and just ignore it.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, my mother does mind the fact that I am bisexual (very much so) and she thinks yaoi encourages it. (I don't hide any of the dirty stuff from my family either).

  10. Me neither, well my father passed away around when I started getting into anime so he can't say anything R.I.P T_T

My mother loves anime and thinks its cute but doesn't understand anything about it other than Haruhi
Other than that I don't really care what anyone else says

  11. My parents had but a glimpse of my figures. I don't think they stopped and thought about it. The posters they saw were animated movies'. Nothing a parent would not expect. Other than that, all they know I have is my games, anime and manga collection. I admitted there is 'porn' inside it.

    They're open about porn.
My dad shows no interest in what I may have and doesn't make any comment. I expect he's uncomfortable about having to comment on his own porn.
My mom thinks the shoujou manga covers are cute, but wonders when I'll grow up.

Nah, once you've brought home a couple of women and had a couple of meaningful relationships, that'll stop.

    Oh wait...you are...nevermind. :D

If all those dakimakuras, figmas, poster, etc. are of male characters, then I'd say the same thing.

  15. My mom questions why I like MLP sometimes, but it's always in jest.

Oh, but my parents do hate that I love video games. They would stop at anything to keep me from playing them because apparently video games are evil.

None whatsoever Sir...I'm in the middle of nowhere -

    - though in all seriousness -

BP/ICE (have seen) them when they come by to see me every 3 days or so... and yes - they have - and some actually like them, as they're artistic and no comments about it being depraved or anything...

    Cool guy/gal Agents....

OH I know some older Agents (old school) ones and they too are pretty cool about it....

I guess, it depends on how you approach/maintain the subject, and how its looked at....

    NEVER had issues...

    (edit) ~

You know how it is... this is why its good to maintain (Friends) - you never know when you might need them...

Agreed. It's all about the handling. Suave, I believe.
