The sky has been clear all day, but I've been hearing thunder for several hours now.
It's been like over 100 for the past month or so here, one week it went down about 90-ish(which isn't that much better, lol)
It's like 85 F or higher here today I think... *checks phone* Yep... 86 F right now... Fucking disgusting. :[
Well...since August is now here...
I have survived the ~ 100°F/37°C - 115°F/46°C ~ ranges thus far, and pretty well too considering....
....so I should be encountering the ~ 100°F/37°C - 120°F/48°C ~ ranges this month, then its - 'nothing' - but - "down hill" - now until the embracement of Autumn and Fall..
its getting really nice right now. Thunders, light rain, nice bursts of wind that is juuuuust chilly enough. Its like 70 right now and it feels marvelous

The desert nights can be the same too... usually between the hours of - 2300hrs - 0600hrs - thats when the temps drop to ~ 70°F/21°C - so its a good time to enjoy some star time while drinking some coffee...
If its stormy, then its a great natural light show, added to the moment.

The problem with dry climates is that it takes a while (at least for me) for my sinuses to adjust to the lack of humidity in the air.
I should clarity that I'm in California right now (Davis, right outside of Sacramento) and will be moving to the SF Bay Area in a couple of weeks.
And I must agree with Kan Ika, freaking California weather is great. Yes it gets hot too, but its not as bad as in southern Texas. Here its in the 70s at night and most of the morning, from around 10-11ish it raises to the 90s. While in southern Texas its mid 80s to low 90s at night and early morning, and pretty much fucking hot as fuck all day.
Needless to say weather was one of the main reasons that made me leave Texas.
I brought my hat and boots, so don't worry.
question Deth. You always talk about living in the desert, and I can't help but to imagine you living in Courage's house. So my question is, do you live in some sort of community near/in the desert or are you pretty much a hermit totally alone several miles around you?

No offence taken and in actuality to answer your query...
I am hermit, live alone, and very private... only a few people (actually) - 'know' - where I live...very few even know how it looks like...
It takes about 30-45 minutes (one way) to drive out to pick up the mail.. then add an extra 25 miles to that, you'll reach the nearest town, and add another 35, I'll be in El Paso which is the closest largest city.
My travel time varies and depends on where I decide to travel.. either by desert, abandoned old highway, or main highway.. so the times will vary. - this also doesn't include inaccuracies which are placed deliberately...
I am already used to living the - 'hot climates' - mainly due to the military and being deployed to all areas that are hot. (ie jungle, desert, equator areas) .... I think the hottest I ever experienced was 145°F/62°C

If you live near the coast, it rarely gets above 80 in the summer and below 50 in the winter, at least in Southern California. That's the advantage it has over Florida: you get the mild winters without the heat, humidity, and hurricanes in the summer.
