We're having a bit of a heat wave. Temps in the 90s all week with the heat index at around 104. Luckily I have an air conditioner. I tried to tough it out, but buckled and put in the AC yesterday when it became obnoxiously hot.

100's for the past week and not much better this week back east where my parents live, though I don't think they had the bad storms that much of the Midwest and East Coast experienced.
Meanwhile, I've been enjoying temps in the 60's and 70's here in L.A.

But yes, it has been bad in the west. Where I often go on holiday in Wales has had severe flooding. Lucky we decided to go abroad this year.
