It's going to make it harder for competitors to make business decisions. Whenever Steve Jobs would announce some new product, Apple fanboys would line up to buy it in droves. Most of the time, it was a good product (it better be, or Jobs would fire the entire department behind it), so even non-Mac-users would buy it. Case-in-point: the iPod. It became so huge, every company wanted to have their own iPod, but no one comes close to Apple's cover of the market. It's the exact same thing with the iPad; people have created tablets before, but they never caught on; this weird tablet craze we have right now is solely due to Apple fanboys purchasing something they wouldn't even want if it were made by someone else.
Basically, other companies now have to think, instead of just copying what's popular. It's a horrifying new prospect in the business world.
The only Apple product I own is my iphone.

None. Apple is the worst company that produces the biggest shit in existence, the day I'll buy anything from them will never come.
For me they may as well go bankrupt and die tomorrow and not a single fuck will be given.
I'm a Mac user, and I think it's a pity he died... but I don't see it really impacting Apple as much as it seems everyone thinks it will, given that he already resigned as CEO.
EDIT: I can also see Apple having already prepared a report on his death, just in case... and someone accidentally releasing it even though he's still alive. Mistakes like that have been made in the past. And no, I'm not claiming that is what happened, just stating a possibility.
A shame he passed away, but wow what people thought highly of him. I'm afraid I can't agree with these remarks.

Apple once ran just fine without Jobs for 12 years and didn't really have serious trouble until the mid 90s.
He was a marketing genius the kind who could sell ice to Eskimos and will be missed but I feel some of his policies were too controlling such as insisting IOS be so locked down.

Once again another person dies from retiring. The Peanuts's author died from the something.
The guy was responsible for one of the worst companies in the world, and subsequently a ton of horrible electronic devices that I will not touch with a ten foot pole.
He was, however, awesome at making / ripping off / marketing products that he knew people would consume like starving, rabid coyotes. That takes a real talent that I can respect. He was truly among the ranks of the most magnificent of bastards and I'm sorry to see him go.
