already checked that thread, the person is not talking about posting pictures, hes asking for assistance on choosing a camera.
It's for photography in general.

its derailed, not a general photography thread. Nor does the title of the thread imply it.
Ok, enjoy having nowhere to post your pictures when this thread gets closed.
In order to - *avoid* - the mindless never-ending debate of Photography, cameras, and its equipment...
including - Which goes into what thread...
It seems that this one is OK as it is, as I have not run across a similar thread, as of yet.
This is more related to photography - verses - camera..
Carry on!

So many cool pictures! And cute girls...eheh.
EHEHEHEHEH
sorry, that was way too creepy.
but yeah, people usually complain 'cause there are either too many dogs or too many girls.
Never felt the joy of taking pictures, though.
I especially despise taking pictures of myself with a cool background. A friend told me those are "postcard pictures", since you never show up in them. Still, I believe that's the beauty of it all. You don't want to show others how you looked like... come on, people who know you already do; rather, it's more fascinating to report what you see, what made a big impression on you, what you felt worthy of notice and maybe say why.
The problem started after some time... pictures are only enjoyable with one of the five senses, and there are a lot of places where it's completely unefficient. The sensations, feelings, smells... the fresh air blowing on your face, being surrounded by such an rush of different emotions you've never felt, those are things you can't report in a picture.
The first real taste of such a thing... I've had it in Ireland, on the west coast, facing the ocean. There's a really long walk that starts from a small village built on the coast of a lake, which is connected to the sea by a narrow and short river, forcing its way in between two really high cliffs, towering the whole area from above. It's fantastic to be able to walk up until their summit, and lay on the fresh grass. There was also a pile of small rocks: the tradition says that, once you've reached that place, you should pile up a rock. And then, in front of you there's only the ocean. This cliff protracts so far into the sea you barely notice anything on your sides if you look straight up. A picture would only depict the ocean, and nothing else. But if you turn your head, there are high cliffs all over the coast, there's the sound of the waves crushing against the rocks, the echo of seagulls in the distance, the strong wind coming from below, the smell of salty water, of the grass... really now, a photo camera is powerless in my hands. I tip my hat to those who are able to take art out of 'em, but... what the hell, sorry I derailed everything.
Sorry.
Keep pictures coming, though!
tl/dr version: I like watching at them. It's just that I'm not able to take them...
wow... real life shrine maidens

oh lol XD,
anyway, another 2 pictures, of which are from my Formal Party night, the first one is really odd in that it was dark yet the camera picked it up as being day time, no idea how that happened, and the second picture is that of the Brisbane river and Story bridge. (just bought the camera about 2 hrs before the event started so I was still learning.)

Somehow Brisbane (that's the CBD I presume in your pics) looks really similar to Sydney

orly? Though I don't think Sydney has a rock climbing area in the city. (look in the first picture (kinda blurry) where the orange light on right is)
From my DA. A little bit of anything...
Scenery.

Portraits n such.

On Stage. (That's the best, tho you miss the concert)

Band picture. Failed hard, tho.

Another Scenery, this one is all natural.
And working on some new pics now. Finally.
(Tho I'll stop using Photoshop and try to learn how to use Lightroom)
Whoa nice Antika
Thaank you~
This is one of the versions from the pic I was working on. I dunno, I'm not satisfied at all but I guess I'll see what I can do with it later.
I don't like putting on watermarks on my pics but the Interwebz are what they are...
