  4. Is it really that good? The similar concept to american superheroes cartoon kinda put me off..alot...

I rather watch power ranger concept anime where young girls form contract with angelic looking devil and fight until they fall into despair.

On the contrary. I think the Japanese perspective on postmodern superheroes is really interesting.

For example, take the western approach to a post modern super hero. Like Batman, or watchmen. Vigilantes fighting crime. Doing what they think is right, even if the rest of the world isn't always on their side.

Then you've got tiger and bunny, a future where superheroes are used as advertisements. Everything's sucked in by capitalism. I was reading a manga called Ratman, which follows a similar approach. The superheroes of the future are marketing ploys.

  7. It was one of my favorite shows this year.

  8. I wasn't all to impressed with it at first, but it had its moments. Too bad they didn't capitalize on some of the opportunities they had, the series could have ended extremely well.

I kind of liked Tiger's character because he wasn't doing this for the money sure he wanted fame but he had other reason's for doing it.The concept of Superhero Reality show was from Marvel's New Warrors (which failed) even Stan Lee's "Who wants to be a Superhero" was interesting.

But the show in Tiger and Bunny wasn't a reality super hero show. It was more like a pro sports type of show.

  14. I believe the "preview" wasn't of a second season, but rather more of a "gag" because of tiaga's deminishing powers.

Instead of turning to drowning his sorrows in booze like the chartacter Legend did & abusing his son who would later become the anti-hero-vigilante. The Taigur character, decides to perservere by coming out of retirement and tries to stay in the hero business.
Until he has no more powers to do super hero stuff.

Tigger can either quit when he realizes that he is no longer a super mutant and resorts to doing things like Ironman does, by being a normal in a powered exoskeleton. Or he can simply retire for good and be an oridnary working stiff & raise is little girl like any other daddy figure.
Unless of course, before he actually retires, he might get prematurely "retired" by some other bad guy.

    o.o

On the contrary, they HAVE to have a second season, if you didn't notice, the super bad final boss group has NOT made a appearance, Jake and has girl and the director are nothing but a small fry, they are not the main branch and the group themselves are powerful and can introduce some power houses like jake, plus the fact with tiger and has power how that is going to work out, blue ruse needs to get some tiger action (:p) and some new hero can be introduced, I believe this isn't over especially after seeing that symbol when the money fell in the water.

The show was good, the concept and named had put me off at first but I evidently watched it and enjoyed it, got to say, they did a good job the hold "which hero to win it all" feeling makes the show and Tiger is by far mt favorite character next to blue rose :p

Did you watch the last episode to the end? A kid drops a 1$ bill into a puddle and the Uroboros mark shows up. Then they show a bunch of clips followed by NEXT PROJECT! and a date 11/13.

One of the better anime imo, superheroes with issues is always interesting to watch :)

Seems like a good candidate for a second season, plenty left to tell. (gief moar blue rose!)
