I would say that Appleseed xiii was a fuck-up, but I.G. isn't totally responsible because another studio did the animation & screwed the story themselves.

Just watched Guilty Crown episode 1 and I gotta say I was sold in the first 4 minutes. The song at the start (Euterpe sung by Chelly from Supercell) was just so damn beautiful I've already listened to it over and over and Production I.G's animation is top notch too.
Already looking forward to the OST for this series.

TBH, I'm also tired of highschool protagonists, but then it wouldn't be animu.
What I can't stand are these predictable plots. Maybe plot isn't the right word, cause it's not like I can just go and say what's going to happen from now on but, as I watched, I already knew what was going to happen in every scene. DAMN, I HATE THAT!I'm not going to say it's shit. The animation and character design are cool. RYO ---> LOVELOVE. But the story... It'll probably be another shonen-like animu with a cute main character.

Well, this series makes me feel like an Olympic swimmer taking a long time to stretch, just so he can get into a kiddie pool. Yeah, I just really felt like saying that, I'm not sure if it makes any sense... or well it doesn't even represent what I actually feel. Actually it does. No wait maybe it doesn't. Even though it does.
This series has left me incredibly conflicted.
Though that's because I don't want to admit that I was wrong.hahaha
Actually this went just as planned, I hyped it so much in order for this series to have the biggest hype backlash in history.oh whatever I'm just gonna stare at this gif for the rest of the day to ease my pain.
