Yes, but your force of will is going to weaken if you have a poor workout regime that gives less than optimal results or insufficient feedback and sense of progress.
That's one of the benefits of Starting Strength (besides the obvious benefits of it being awesome). You get to see your lifts increase every week, so you can see your progress and stay motivated.

Playing basketball with friends 4-5 days a week 1-2 hours a day.
It had been a while since I last played any sport (that involves several people) regularly (even soccer was like a once every 2 months thing), it feels pretty good. Feels like playing multiplayer computer games with friends, except I work out at the same time (and it's real?).
Also, it's tiring as fuck and my knees feel like they're melting.

My work out shcedule has drastically changed and I'm noticing changes (more so in lower body htan upper). If I don't have work I go to the gym and do upper body for about 40 minutes, then go to track practice. With all the running I've noticed my calves have nearly doubled in size.

I began doing skull crushers in my workout routine, next will be to include military bench press. I need to purchase some dumbbells, need them to do concentration curls.
or you could make your own,... all you need is some 1 1/4" pipe, water, sand, cement, and plastic flower pots. . . and a scale.
When you don't need them anymore get a sledge hammer and turn your home made weights into recycled concrete fill or toss it in a river (not harmful to the environment) and use the pipe for something else.

I'm quite sure it would be hard to make a heavy dumbbell that way. A lot of people are using dumbbells that weigh 30, 40, maybe over 50kg. That's a shitload of cement.
However, I do wonder why bravo doesn't just get a gym membership. Maybe the only gym where he lives is Planet Fitness.
Some scrapyards also have the dumbbells of fitness centers that have gone out of business, he could just brush off the rust and repaint them.

Good idea, I'll look into it. An hour of weight lifting before I go to work then after work I'll head over to a 24/7 health club.
Started working out again today,... experiment to see how long it would take to fall out of shape is over. In all it took about 8 months to regress to what I was before I seriously was working out every other day.
