I HATE news reports like this...

  1. This hypocritical thinking is just BS. They target a group of people and label them as the bad guys when everyone else is doing the same thing but in a different way.

  2. "Leave others to save dark economy?"
    LOL.
Time to call Madoka to help against the dark forces of the Economic Slump.

  3. "Why not spend half that money to come to Washington to protest the economy"
    I loled.

  4. Hey any female members here want to slap a bitch ?

I would never hit a woman.

    Then again, I'll kick a bitch's ass >.>

I want to slap that reporter pretty badly right now, but that doesn't exactly solve anything.
The reporter herself doesn't even seem all that convinced about what she's talking about. That's what it seems like to me at least. XD

And it's not like protesting the economy changes anything. It's just "I DUN LIEK DIS. SOMEONE FIX NAO."
I'm pretty sure Washington D.C. is already aware people aren't happy with the way things are.

Exactly why waste my money on that ? This piece was nothing but theater.
Seemed like she was throwing a lot of cheap shots and missed almost every time.

Let's all live like mormons and work towards a better world okay? Why is she wearing make-up, does she really need it? That money could be spend on helping the homeless!

Reasoning like that is just retarded. Spending money on the things you enjoy instead of "making the world a better place" is perfectly normal.

PS: I'm a hypocrite, starts flying in their morning coffee per private-jet is something I do consider insane.

  11. First off fuck the homeless, half the time the homeless are there by choice. Fucking right I said that word CHOICE.

No retractions people I live on an income that is called poverty line, I know what it is like to live by seemingly idiotic rules set by idiotic bureaucrats. Live by the rules and you don't live on the street.

But this moronic assertion of going to Washington to protest? That's the same as burning the fucking money and no one benefits from it. August 3rd and the US will either be more of the same or it rolls over and dies. But the politicians sure won't be getting suddenly wiser.

I'm happy to be putting my money in the pockets of the people that mean something to me, the rest of society can just get it's own fucking heroes eh.
I don't care about all of the gaming world, I am only interested in Slitherine/Matrix Games.
I don't give a shit about most of the internet, just the part I require and that means Teksavvy my ISP for instance.

I buy models locally as much as possible. I am supporting my local retailers when possible.
I don't mind doing business with Amazon, but in recent times, I have had to go with supporting a local office supplier as they can do a good priced pdf print out, and sometimes the real thing is just too much expense.
My local grocer is certainly getting a lot of my disposable cash.

But shit, if I wanted to go to AnimeNorth (May event), and it required I save 50 bucks a month for the year prior to going, I wouldn't consider it a silly waste that I might have been able to spend better protesting shit that no one will ever give a fuck about in the end.
This isn't Greece nor is the US Greece :)

  13. Implying Comic Con doesn't bring in millions of dollars to the local economy.

Not just local. I'm sure Comic Con attracts vendors from pretty far places.

Like people who spend thousands of dollars following their favourite during football season.

The god-damned fucking bitch pronounced "cosplay" wrong. "Coos-play"? The fuck is this?

The comic book and other related industries donate sufficient amounts to the U.S. economy. Fuck this fucking story.

But that money went to all the people and companies that did their advertising, thus putting money back into the economy.

  20. But is it just a way to keep people's attention away from real issues? interesting.... says the news company covering this stupid none story about comic con, instead of real news.

this is why i hate the news. is it really that easy to get a degree in journalism?
