   So i got to thinking on another forum about how we have a pub/theater in town(and yes they do call themselves a pub) and if many other people here have this kinda thing.

   Basically what it s is a Pub/theater/Pizzeria with it's own brewery. It's nice cause they show rare/unusual films(even anime i first saw Summer Wars there and will be seeing Badlands Rumble later this month there they also showed Eva 1.11 and 2.22 there). But yeah it's nice cause i can just order a pizza and some beer(if i choose) and go sit down and enjoy my dinner/lunch/what have you while eating my food. Though you can aslo just go and order food and sit in the restaurant area in the main spot. But yeah do any of you have this kinda place near you?

   Oh and this is partly to brag that i get to see Badlands Rumble in a theater while scarfing down on pizza and in my case root beer(not the biggest drinker out there). Though it's also because i'm earnestly curious how common these places are.

   We have one shitty theatre in town big enough for one screen that they insisted on remodelling into 3 that has now got two narrow small theatres with minor screens (bigger than big TVs at least I guess, and one not so small one that is wide but to make room for the other two, they had to chop out the original back half of the buildings effective seating.

   Pubs? we have two, one a sports bar ie nothing to do but drink and watch a game on a large TV and one a live band place that has live Friday and Saturday and is mainly empty the rest of the week and serves a limited menu.

   We have a dance bar (barely deserves the name) good for drinking till you figure the opposite sex is good enough looking to have sex with. Can't see the place serving any other purpose.

    Well yes... 20+cinema and 6 malls with around 15 screens each...
    About pubs... i can remember 15... with the names starting with A... long way to Z...
    The nane of this thread should be : Do you live in a big city or a deserted island?
    Are there any theatre in NY or Tokyo? Do i need an nswer?

    I should probably clarify I meant do you have any HYBRIDS like I mentioned I mean what kinda backwoods place do you think anchorage is that I'd even CONSIDER a place without just a pub/bar or at least one theatre(okay some of the villages up here maybe but nit anchorage). So yeah that's what I meant. Oh and que something from anti or others along the lines if "Well you are BFE" yeah go fuck yourselves if you REALLY think anchorage at least is that backwards then you have your head up your ass more than the anti loli crowd does.

    I got something better, one of the last few drive-in theaters in the US. Bring the whole family, a bucket of chicken or bring the barbeque grill, lawn chairs, pillows and blankets, and have yourself a makeshift tailgate party while watching two new release films.

    Regular movie theater and dollar theater. The regular theater will sometimes screen anime films or old movies, but they are late night shows and they jack the price because they are "special engagements"

    And fake pubs, like Shenanigans which is basically a Chili's but with more green colors and they serve Guiness, and there's another "Irish Pub" like that somewhere else, which is just the same deal.

    Yeah there's not that many decent places to have a drink around here, either shitty cantinas or Applebees type grill & bar joints.

    Normally I just go buy beer and drink at home or with my dad and/or grandpa, so its fine.
