The sudden introduction of Twilight's brother had really irked me. And Jesus Christ, I felt like I was looking at a Disney film by the mid of it.
Twilight's song at the end was catching.

I watched the finale. The sudden introduction of Twi's brother seems forced. The first song kinda sucked, but the Cadence duet was really great. The fight scene was really creative and fun to watch.
Luna only had a few lines, but I thought they were really well placed.
Also, anyone else notice Applejack's lying face when she put on her hat when Rarity wasn't looking?

Overall, I liked the finale, but I have a few complaints. I don't like that they suddenly introduce the fact that Twilight has a brother who's head of the royal guard or whatever, and that she had a princess as her baby-sitter before she became Celestia's student. They could have at least foreshadowed this stuff in previous episodes, like how the Gala was brought up in multiple episodes before last season's finale. Also, I felt that Luna's scenes seemed forced. Like she was only thrown in as an after-thought or something.
I didn't like BBBFF at first, but I listened to it a few more times and it's grown on me since then. This Day Aria is great. I love way Cadence's lyrics are the opposite of Cadenza's. I didn't like the last song, but maybe I'll enjoy it if I give it another chance.

Oh and Cadence is pretty hot.

Most of the things you guys considered flaws didn't bother me. The sudden introduction of Cadence and Shining Armor was fine with me, though I was a bit bothered when they introduced the changelings. I agree with everyone else in that the episode felt like a Disney movie but I love it for that.
