  3. Purple hair~ Not with the challenge but whatev. Been meaning to post pics but haven't got around to doing it, covering my face because I just woke up, and this is for the hair anyway. Might post some more groomed photos some other time. Thanks Antika for giving me hair dye tips <3 BTW how do you deal with the dye washing out? I can't do any sport because my sweat turns purple.

  4. I use special shampoo when I have my hair dyed.
Doubt it helps against sweat though haha.
Don't you have some sort of protective spray?

  5. OHMIGOD IT LOOKS GORGEOUS!!

Also, sorry, I forgot to warn you about that. During the first week, you'll never be able to wear white clothes if you're going to sweat or if your hair is wet because it will just color your clothes. Any light-colored clothes, for that matter. (Even after the first week, don't put on white shirts if your hair is still wet.)

    OHMIGOD OHMIGOD SO HOT. <3

    AAAAND my 3 tips:
    >Use as cold water as you can manage when you wash your hair. The color fades faster if you use warm water. Don't worry though, you can use warm water for the rest of your body.
    >COLOR-SHAMPOO. YES! SUPER, SUPER IMPORTANT. And I don't know if it's important to buy an expensive one. I did try to use a cheap color shampoo but it didn't work out for me so I spent moneys on a really good shampoo and conditioner. It worked great, I use Maria Nila's Color Shampoo. Any products that you'll use for your hair HAVE TO BE specifically for colored hair.
    >Try not to use much hair-spray and other hair stuff. I use the frizz reducer for the tips and that's about it. The more stuff you put in your hair, the longer you need to wash it and when you already bleach it and all that... Well, it'll get destroyed must faster. (Same goes for straighteners, but that doesn't stop me from straightening my hair.)

Did I warn you about the "buh-bye bath?". Well, yeah. No pools, no lakes, no nothing. Ofc you can bathe and get in the pool, but you have to try with all your might not to get your hair wet.
First of all because the color will fade off.
Second is because the water will turn purple.

And one last thing: save up money. Having strong colors that require touch-ups often isn't cheap at all.

BUT OH IT LOOKS SO AMAZINGLY GREAT, CAN'T WAIT TO SEE A PICTURE OF YOUR FACE TOO WITH IT. I'm so proud. <3

Also, here's a pic to stay on topic. I haven't recolored my hair in almost 4 weeks now, so you know my tips work when it still looks like this. (It's a bit more pink, seeing as the picture has more contrast and added vibrance, but the color is still there pretty clear.)
This is all stuff I learned the hard way too. n___n''

OH SHI- I forgot: gross as it might sound: try not to wash your hair too often. I originally had pretty greasy hair so I had to wash it very often, at least every two days if possible. With colored hair it's a bit different and it's good to let it get greasy (specially when you're about to rebleach and recolor it). So try to go as many days as you can (without it smelling bad ofc no one likes to smell bad) without washing the hair.
There are good parts to this point ofc: the Third Day Ponytail!

I wouldn't recommend any type of spray myself (the more stuff you put in, the more you have to wash as I said), but go to the hairdressers' and ask for it if needed. At least to protect your clothes or make the frizzines go down. If he/she tries to give you something for normal hair SAY NO and just look somewhere else. I truly don't recommend stuff that aren't for dyed hair. (DYED, NOT BLEACHED. DYED, NOT BLEACH. I CANNOT REPEAT THIS ENOUGH. Products for bleached hair are often alike but the difference is that people with bleached hair don't have to worry about the color draining out.)

I'm so very sorry for the wall of text.

  11. @Antika
Thx QAQ It's the 5th day now, and the color is washing out waaay less. It's the first time in a week that my hands aren't purple lol. Yea I sorta figured no more swimming, cloud of purple behind me + bleach damage from chlorine does NOT sound good. I don't think I can find any color shampoo for purple hair, or is it just generic? Haven't done any gel or heat styling, going to avoid that and do pin curls etc. instead.

When I first did it tho, it was like BLACK. I was super disappointed, it took 3 days to wash out to an obvious purple.

What do you mean? Like lavender?

  12. Oh well heh that happens.

If you got color on your bathroom or other stuff, you can clean it off with nailpolish-remover. Works like magic.

And for the finding a shampoo part... Well, it doesn't need to be specifically for purple hair. I know there are some hair-repairing stuff that you put in your hair to bring the color back to life but I only heard of them for natural colors and red.

Now, for the shampoo: it should work fine if you try a shampoo that is made for colored hair and not specifically for purple hair (and I guess that'd be kinda hard to find). Normally those shampoos have less chemicals that wash away the color. It's still a big discussion if it really works or not but it's worked for me so I'll keep to that.

It's washing out ALOT less, and it comes off the bathroom walls with a bit of light scrubbing. Just got back from school so don't look all that shit right now, slight camwhoring.

    @Triumf
Don't have any purple, but this pink lipgloss is pretty similar to the pic you posted imho.
