And I see this in fan art too. In the real world there are more than the figures shown in anime: hourglass - busty, hourglass - flat. Those are the only two I've seen ever. I like creating my own characters when I draw and as a fan of anime I hate that other body shapes aren't represented at all. I've created a chubbier woman as well as a woman with a pair-shape (as I prefer pear-shape more). I've yet to see a woman with these bodies in anime. Not everyone drools over an hourglass figure.

Just be glad that there are two female shapes. There's only one male shape.

I don't think pair-shape is fat. There are like 4 female body shapes and I only see the same shape over and over again. It's why to an extent anime (or manga) is visually boring. Very few bother to move out of the box and design characters that are different. That's why I like One Piece's art because of the stylized look.

But they're exceptions to the rule. Just like the overweight but good-natured middle-aged/old woman stock character in many anime. Dream Weaver probably faps to them.

Whilst there are some women whose bones are naturally that way, they're a minority. I hate to break it to you, but big arses are the female equivalent of beer bellies. It's just the good fortune of women that this feature has become attractive to men, due to the fact that it is associated with a secondary sexual characteristic.

Yes, you are just ranting. You're certainly not trying to make any kind of credible argument. When did I say anything about hourglass shapes being fat? We were talking about pear shapes. Don't lie about what the argument is about when I can look at the posts that are on this fucking page and see exactly where we disagreed. It's very insulting.

I started watching Hen-Zemi precisely because the art is diferent. At first I found it pretty gross but the more I see the more I start to find it hot.
Also, it's not a problem of the artists. While 80% of BD/DVD income comes from the same 30% of the BD/DVD buyers the market will fit their style. That is also the reason why anime becoming more popular (yeah right ¬¬) not only abroad but in Japan as well would be beneficial, studios would be able to make more diverse stuff to cater to a more diverse audience.
...not that I am complaining thought, my tastes are quite similar with that of those 30% so I love them for supplying me with endless harems and dating sims ;p

That chick reminds me of a girl I dated briefly. She was an ex high school volleyball player on her early 20's. She still had all the muscles on the right places, but her caloric outtake wasn't nearly the same as it used to be so she had big boobs and big tight/ass as well as being overall "fluffy". Just don't take this is a norm since it's a pretty awkward bio-type and awfully hard to replicate into 2D (Hen Zemi does this exceptionally well).

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today lol. To think that some people take trivial discussions so hard. It's a little sad and pathetic.
Men don't get wide hips. Women's shapes are categorised by: hourglass, pear, apple and banana whereas men are the same and their body shape is only defined by their levels of fat and muscle.
Plus you're stupid in thinking that big butts are only the result on the accumulation of fat when there are many women out there with large, muscular butts.
And obviously you didn't understand my point in saying by you saying that hourglass is fat you're basically talking about hourglass is fat because both shapes are the same with the fact the one includes wider hips and on occasion bigger thighs. But that doesn't mean that the woman has for example a "double chin" or a gut or extra fat all over their body.
I'm done talking to you now but you can reply if you want I really don't care.
