Currently watching the To Love-ru Darkness OVA. I just remembered how Lala's father reminds me of one of my uncles in Korea: short, bad temper, and talks to everyone like he's drunk or has his mouth full of food.

Finished Hen Zemi, and i would say...this anime is pretty good...
Something about their quirky behaviour and project, their nonchalant talk about sex, doing it openly, onani, fetish....remind me a lot of SanCom members...Update:
watching ep1 of Maji de Watashi ni koi Shinasai...
This show is so stupid it make me wonder why i decide to dl the BD...
A whole lot worst than watching scary movie, disaster movie, epic movie...
i just can't draw a line on how many times i have to facepalm which watching this..Posted 9 months ago # -
I love Hen Zemi.

Hen Zemi is awesome...i'm always entertained by what they are doing, and somehow could relate it to myself...
Too bad it's only 13eps, and each ep only last 12mins...
i kinda wish they made 2nd seasonPosted 9 months ago # -

...OK, at least the first two was Godly. When the Wayans left the series, it no longer entertained as much as it did anymore.
Oh, and Majikoi's real meat is in the games. The anime was made only as an afterthought for those who just want to see the characters in full motion. Watch all the episodes once just for the novelty and move the fuck on.

Binbougami Ga! Episode 8
Just another awesome episode of Binbougami Ga! For this week, Detective Conan and Jason Voorhees are the guest stars. Also, is it me or is there no Dragonball parody?
This episode is about another problem about Ichiko: she does not make friends. Ranmaru tries to make one with her. However, despite the fact that she saved her from her dad last week, Ichiko wants no more of her.
I really like how that issue was shown and solved. Just another good character development for both Ichiko and Ranmaru. The anti-Ichiko girls have made their presence known as they and some dudes kidnap Ichiko. Their time is cut short by Ranmaru though. As for Momiji, it is great watching her help her rival and friend Ichiko. These two are really bros. Great German suplex, by the way.
Kurumi is the reason why Ichiko does not like making friends. However, she is also the one who started her egotistical personality. For a little girl, she already has some yandere tendencies. It would be great if she and Ichiko meet again.
I wonder if my yuri goggles are a bit too tight because that typical sunset ending makes Ichiko and Ranmaru look like lovers than friends. I like to ship them together even though Ichiko has a crush on Keita (if that crush still exists within her) and the Pixiv people prefer Ichiko/Momiji above all else.

A day that began average, me replaying my Platinum and HeartGold games, scouting for the best natures to add on to my team, has tuned into one of the more introspective days I've had in a long time because of Kokoro Connect 8.
Inaba has surprisingly continued going to school after Taichi's outburst, but not surprisingly has stopped going to the clubroom. Concening that outburst however, I thought was rather on point as well, speaking to her trust issues. I thought it was apropos as well because Inaba needed a bit of calling out for how she is acting. She has admitted herself that she has no psychosis, no Freudian Ecuse for her actions unlike Yui or Iori. Yui has a reasonable excuse for holing herself up, considering her backstory and her having the most violent outburst. Iori is acting the most admirable, having a not so great backstory as well but is doing her best to remain chipper, and trying to get the club back together again. True, Inaba had a rather unbecoming outburst, but she should take a step back from herself and realize tht others have problems far greater than her. I'm glad that she was told what she was told by Taichi, even if he didn't have the restraint to hold back something he normally wouldn't have said. Moving on, after much wondering on what to do by Aoki, Taichi and Iori, they live up to the episode's name of "And Then There Were None" by arguing.
Initially it was just about what to do about Yui, but like a lot of arguments it quickly devolved from that into questioning the character of the people involved. Aoki far more directly addressed the nature if the "Selfless Freak" that is Taichi, more so than Inaba before him arguably (forgive the pun). Aoki saying that he doesn't really care about Yui's well being, he just can't stand to see a girl sad and that he is more or less an egomaniac who feels he knows best. Taichi more or less said of Aoki that he is a dense idiot who is to lazy to do anything and does not contribute anything of real value. Inaba tries to break the 2 up by noting that Taichi was getting too full of himself and that Aoki was being jealous, and that neither of them were really thinking about Yui. And of course it is at this point that Taichi has his outburst, and belts Iori across the face with his bag and knocks her into the nearby cabinet. Aoki takes this as proving his point of not really caring about others, and storms out.
I thought this was one of the high points of the episode, as everyone involved had a point, but Iori had the biggest one. Taichi himself had a point as they did need to try and bring Yui out of her cave as soon a possible, before her absences became problematic. He also had the point that Aoki has been just riding the waves for a little too long, and has not done nor attempted to do anything to really help the situation of either now or the past one. He needs to be more proactive, and that will most likely help him in more areas of his life (including his relations with Yui). Iori was also right that what he said in the clubroom was, at least partially, fueled by some sour grapes. He has been pining for Yui for what looks like quite some time, and Taichi uses his selfless behavior to get Yui interested in him rather quickly by comparison. It is most definitely understandable, but he also shouldn't let jealousy cloud the fact that Taichi has been far more proactive than he has.
However, by no means is Taichi clean in all of this. In fact, I would say that this argument focused far more on his faults. Aoki did have a point that they shouldn't visit Yui needlessly and without some sort of gameplan. If just visiting her without an idea of what to do didn't work the first time, then you shouldn't keep trying it. In other words, Taichi should stop acting like a Leeroy Jenkins and actually think carefully about how to proceed. It was pointed out that if they visit unawares and one of them has an outburst, Yui will just go further down the drain. More importantly, Aoki questioned just why exactly Taichi is so interested in helping others and where his selfless behavior comes from. And the dialogue makes the suggestion that Taichi helps others, at least in part, because he just likes the act of it and somewhat enjoys the glory that comes with it, not so much because he really wants to help those close to him. Even if he is ultimately trying to help someone, this argument put a light to the fact that his actions are not really selfless but selfish, and that there is a certain degree of ego tripping involved in his behavior (this all reminded me of when in Black Lagoon Balalaika had Rock at the end of her pistol asking why he was so keen on protecting Yukio. Rock said simply that "It is his Hobby"). Iori pointed out that he was feeling himself far too much during their back and forth, and while I would not go so far as to say that Taichi viewed himself as an infallible Messiah, I would be willing to venture that he felt as if he kept trying things would resolve themselves, and that he could do it if no one else could. This scene also went to show that Taichi's drive to "save" people does not necessarily involve other's actual wellbeing. His hitting Iori when she tries to stop him is very telling. It's not like the outburst are coming from thin air, they are simply having all of you inhibitions removed and making you act on your base feelings at that moment. That moment basically showed that when it comes right down to it, he does not like compromise and that his "Selfless Freak" behavior is mostly a selfish impulse. It's also notable as up till now, Taichi's outburst have been rather tame in comparison to the ones done by Yui and Inaba. This event showed that in reality, Taichi has probably just as many issues as the rest of the club members and is no better or worse than them. It also helped him truly sympathize with Yui's situation, where he hurt someone in a situation where he would normally show restraint.
Now even Taichi secludes himself from the others after this event. He and most of the others are distinctly aware of Inaba's warning that if they don't act interesting enough and just hide away from the world, Heartseed might just turn the heat up on them like before to make things more entertaining, but no one is really in any shape to follow that advice (except for Iori, who forgave Taichi very quickly and was the only one trying to communicate with the others now that Taichi has turned away from the matter). Now Taichi is refusing to intervene in anything, his Chronic Hero Syndrome being thoroughly deconstructed, and practically the whole school notices that something is up with this group of friends. Inaba similarly refuses to interact with the group at all. But some form of light and hope comes from our favorite Lesbian, Fujishima and Heartseed's go-to body, Gotou-Sensei. Fujishima sets up a class trip, and specifically sets up Inaba, Iori and Taichi in the same group, specifically after giving a speech about love and friendship and seeing Inaba very publically refuse Iori to be in the same group. She uses her position as Incho to force them all together, saying that if they have problems with each other they should be talking it over instead of avoiding each other. The problem is so widely obvious that even the lazy Gotou notices there is tension between our main cast, and talks to Taichi about it, and then Gotou directs him to Fujishima right after.
I considered this the other high point of the episode, as after taking the time to deconstruct Taichi's behavior, the collective advice of Gotou and Fujishima puts the pieces all back together again. Taichi is now so concerned about hurting others (like Inaba and Yui) that he is basically content with just weathering the storm, even though they all know that most likely will make things worse. Gotou's advice however states that it is better to try and fail, than it is to not try at all as you could potentially lose everything that way. He also states that friends trouble each other, and are there for each other's problems. Fujishima repeats this sentiment and adds on that Taichi must decide what is most important, not hurting his friend's feelings or trying to help them. He must accept that he cannot do both at the same time, so he must pick one, stick with it and finish what he started even if things get hard (as well as tacking on that she personally prefers the help your friends option). He learns from them all together that you may not always succeed, but it is better to try in the first place than to not try at all. This actually connects back to his sentiment of loving the Jobbers of the Pro-Wrestling ring. That no matter what, even if the Jobber loses over and over, he never stops trying. It is the perseverance of the Jobber that Taichi loves. This all basically states that Taichi was not wrong for wanting to help in the first place, and that deep down, his heart was in the right place. It's just that he was getting discouraged too easily, and he was thinking that with just one try everything would be right as rain. He has now seen that he needs to accept the fact that in order to help others, it sometimes means hurting them first, and that you sometimes need to go down before you can go up. After this, Taichi came to another reason why he can't just wait out the inhibition releasing besides Inaba's warning, and that is the old phrase that No Man is an Island. Taichi, as well as everyone else's actions have an effect on those around them. The whole school at this point sees that something is wrong with the group, and if they hole themselves up, it troubles everyone around them even more, including friends and family. More or less, it's selfish to just be depressed as they are, and that applies to all of them (except really Iori). Once again, Taichi wants to fix the situation, but now he is far more prepared to do so, to return the club members back to their rightful place. I greatly enjoyed this episode, as it showed Taichi's "Selfless Freak" nature for what it really was, then reconstructed it in a new light. Time will tell what happens to Yui and Inaba (although given the preview, it looks like Aoki will finally take action and Inaba's fear of Heartseed's actions will come to pass).
This is pretty much my favorite show of the Summer 2012 season, and will probably become one of my favorites of the year.
(As for the introspective part, let's just say that the lessons Taichi learned of it's better to try and fail than it is to not try at all, and that no man is an island, are lessons that I have needed to pay some serious attention to since the 2 years and 2 months I graduated High School. I've been listening to a good deal of Nujabes music to help me recall just what my aim was during this time, and I still don'r have my answers. But these are all subjects for another time).

It's definitely the best of this season.
Of the whole Year, I would say it's one of the best. For me, it has to contend with things like Nisemonogatari, Ano Natsu De Matteru, and the still airing Hyouka. At the end of this year, I'm probably gonna be giving my #1 to Nise, just because how much I love the Monogatari series. Not to mention, we still have the Fall season ahead of us (though generally I don't look at the Moetron lists to decide what I want to watch until the very last minute).
However that is not to take away anything from Kokoro Connect, I think out of the things it listed it definitely surprised me the most, and it is a very strong show with good drama and excellent characters. If you are an Otaku who either doesn't mind or like School Life Anime I would call it a must watch, and even for those who are not fond of School Life I would say give it a few episodes and see how you feel.

Rinne no Lagrange S2, Episode 8
So for this episode, it is about the school life of Madoka, Lan, and Muginami again. The problem is that their Jersey Club is about to be abolished. While the club was started by Yoko and has been in the school for a long time, it was never approved by the school. The girls had to find a new member in order to save it. Luckily, one girl quickly comes to them to join by the name of Reiko Miki.
Reiko is the background girl who has been
stalkingfollowing the girls since the beginning of the season. She is much clumsier than Lan. Though thanks to her, we get to witness some nice Muginami fanservice. She knows the trio very well and has seen them riding on their Voxes, which is actually her reason for joining the club.We get some nice scene between Machiko and Yoko as they talk about Madoka, her mother, and the Jersey Club. Something tells me that they can be quite a cute pairing.
At the Tanada Night Festival, where there are huge floats of their robots, they tell her that they do not want to use the robots anymore. Madoka, while riding on one of the floats, tells her that she should seek for something that will make her happy. The next day however, she has inadvertently made her resign from the club. Reiko will form her robot club. While it looks like their club is done, the trio decide to expand it with Lan and Muginami's people. Shoko comes in and tells them that disbandment of the Jersey Club has been postponed. She is ignored though as the girls celebrate their new goal. I am pretty sure than we have not seen the last of Reiko Miki. Muginami (or Lan) could use a girl of her own if Madoka ends up with Lan (or Muginami).
Yoko and Asteria talks about the new section of the huge stone tablet that has something to do with Asteria's past and the 20,000-year-old tragedy. However, Moid steals the entire tablet and gives it to Dizelmine. I hope Dizelmine is not up to something again. But it looks like Moid is looking to be the real big bad.
Another great episode. Next week, we will see more school life and probably more yuri.

YuruYuri S2, Episode 9
As usual, we start off with Aka- WHAT IN THE WORLD?! A Chinatsu-made background for the Akarin segment?! Needless to say that Akari has been emotionally scarred.
Anyway, the juniors Akari, Chinatsu, Sakurako, and Himawari are studying together. Sakurako shamelessly makes fun of Akari and her hair buns, again. But she gets tricked by Kyouko's obviously bogus "memorization technique". I was really hoping for some panytshot when she did a handstand but a pair of shorts is fine too. Later, she forms a destined alliance with Kyouko. Himawari does not want them to become friends. I always thought that they would make an interesting couple, making all blondie girls look lazy yet energetic.
Chinatsu foolishly hides in the closet as Akari, Kyouko, and Yui enters the room and study without her. She thinks of some ways to "come out of the closet" literally, from seemingly normal to outrageously exaggerated. Yeah, I see the joke here. I find the entire concept to be funnier than Chinatsu's silly ideas.
Akari and Chinatsu have some sleepover. The two watch some scary movie (the DVD that was given to Akari by our favorite siscon heroine Akane!) and Chinatsu is having troubles sleeping. Pretty ironic if you watched last week's episode. I guess she will not stand a chance against a scary movie without her Yui-sempai. But she gets some really unexpected guest: Chinatsu, meet Akari's perverted, creepy, siscon onee-chan Akane-chan!!! I am very surprised that she is only there to get the DVD and not to......... yeah, you know the rest. I could have sworn that Akane has found out that Chinatsu raped Akari last year. Akane could have savagely and mercilessly raped Chinatsu as a payback but it looks like with just her presence, she has scarred her for life!
Finally, the juniors get paired with their seniors and the results vary. Akari and Chitose have been together before, but not without Akari being trolled by this whole goshdarn anime as it will not even allow her to eat her ice cream. Surprisingly, aside from the eyecatch, not a single drop of blood from Chitose is seen anywhere. Ayano and Chinatsu? Very unusual in my opinion, as I never seen them together alone before but to be fair, they are both tsunderes. Himawari is paired with Kyouko and she actually finds her to be more matured than Sakurako. Meanwhile, Yui finds Sakurako to be even worse than Kyouko.
Next week, the seniors have some school trip and there will be some delicious hot spring fanservice.
