I'm getting back into Robotech again. I watched the first series(macross) a while back and really enjoyed it. I then went onto the second series(southern cross) which is Dana's story, but I just couldn't get into it. I like Dana as a character but it felt like nothing was happening. Just a lot of shooting with neither character development nor plot development. So that's when I took a break from it.
So yesterday, I started watching the third series(genesis climber mospeada) and I am enjoying it so far. I didn't finish Dana's story, but I'll get back to it eventually. Anyway, the 3rd story about Scott Bernard is pretty good. He goes through some hardships right from the first episode and their whole rebel crusade keeps you on your toes. Though I've gotta say Scott wastes a shit ton of missiles to take down one invid. You'd think with limited power cells, he'd be more careful about how many missiles he shoots at a time, but he just keeps going all out.
Oh, and I just found out I have the Sentinels movie in my dvd set, which bridges the gap between the first and second series along with some important characters from the shadow chronicles.

haha. I felt bad for her too. I loved the "I'm at the Station. I bought too many books from Comuket. Can you help me bring them back home?" call. She just hangs up.
I watched the first episode of Joshiraku it was pretty enjoyable. I'm not really sure I'll continue watching it though. Since most of the jokes will just fly past me.
I also watched the first episode of Polar Bear Cafe. It was pretty good.
Joshiraku is hands down the best comedy this season. Almost up there with high school boys. Next time I look at the moon, I'm gonna try to see a pervert sniffing someone's butt in an unrealistic position.
This will sum it up.
I've been watching Dog Days'. Since no animals are actually harmed in it, it's PETA approved. There's rabbit hunting in the 5th episode though.

Finished watching Kokoro Connect ep5.. i have to say, this is the best show for this season...people who judge book by it cover, will probably think this is another cute girl doing cute stuff = K-On
Fucking no...This is probably one of the best romance anime i've seen in recent years. It has such a weird approach toward romance development, it make you cringe for more (for me that is)

Well, I'm glad other people are watching this show, which is in my opinion the sleeper hit of this season. I was very plesantly surprised to see the body switching being used in a dramatic fashion as opposed to a comedic fashion. I love the show, from how it looks to it's characters and how the develop. The only thing I can level against it is that it's a little too fast paced for it's own good, but the show functions very well regardless.
And yes, really the only thing this show shares with K-ON is a character designer. I personally like K-ON's particular variation on Puni Plush and always have, but for those who pass this show up because of it's art style, it's their loss, plain and simple.
However, concerning the idea of not being a Type B Moe show, I have a few things to say. The show is a great one, but it most definitely has Moe elements, such as the art style itself or certain mannerisms of Iori and Inaba. To say that the show is not Moe is incorrect, as the elements are most certainly there. There is nothing wrong with a show having readily apparent Moe elements but still having an excellent character drama as well with good development, nor is there any shame in admitting to liking such a thing. A show can be Moe and be excellent as well, the 2 are not mutually exclusive. Moe more often than not boils down to a series of tropes so as to evoke a certain feeling in the viewer, and tropes are nothing more than tools (if I am to quote TV Tropes for a moment).
Also concerning the delineation between Type A and Type B fans. It has been taken that Type B fans are simply those into Moe and Type A fans are those who like "Serious" works, but I see it a different way. Works that are considered Type B are more likely to contain Moe, but Moe itself is more likely to be seen in certain types of fiction. The broadest possible category in which works with Moe elements occur is within Character-Driven Fiction, as Moe elements are generally character traits as well as the focus on them, which a Character-Driven work is more likely to do. On the other side of the coin works that are considered Type A are more likely to be considered "Serious", but this is also more likely to occur with in a certain category of fiction. So I would say that the widest category that would include "Serious" works would be Story/Plot-Driven Fiction, as these are less likely to dwell on characters, and just focus on telling a tale or a story which could often be quite dark.
In essence I consider the divide between Type A and Type B fans not to be the divide between those who love Moe and those who want "Serious" stories (much less the divide between mindless, easily frightened viewers who want cute girls and humorless, impossible to please elitists), but those who prefer Character-Driven Fiction (the Type B) and those who prefer Story/Plot Driven Fiction (the Type A) and the differences between the shows of this type and the fans who like them.
Kokoro Connect is very much Character-Driven, with the events of the show being provided by the character conflicts and the bonding/interactions between them. Also as I said before, the show most definitely has it's Moe elements. So therefore, I would say that the show is very much a Type B Moe Anime, and it's not wonderful in spite of that status, but because of it.

I tend to just approach A and B simplest way...A are people who like the story development and B are just people who love the char without caring about how the story progress...
I ain't gonna argue what type i am, and how bad type B is...if i have to say, i like both type of anime equally. But as general rule, had to let people know this is not just char acting cute and moe, it has serious story going on
in fact i couldnt really find that much of moe going on...no azu nyaaa, no moe moe kyun...there wasnt much forced moe going on if you compare with other type B which usually have that chibi or moe moment which you can pinpoint that particular scene serve no purpose except trying to make the char looked moe

Fair enough. I could understand wanting to sell the show to people, as both you and I feel it is something worth seeing.
I myself am most definitely Type B, as it's usually characters that make or break an Anime for me. I feel that characters are in fact more important than the plot. The reason being that the plot is the events of the piece of fiction in question, and the events are caused by/happen to the characters. If I don't care for/about the characters than I don't care about what happens to them and therefore I don't care about the plot as well.
I don't really have a general hatred or dislike for shows that are Type A, but I have to say that more often than not they annoy me on some level or I just don't enjoy them (like Eva, Madoka, Fate/Zero or Elfen Lied). The Type A shows I enjoy are more Type AB, hybrids that blend the benefits of both things, like Steins;Gate or Katanagatari.
But whatever. I like what I like, and I just happen to have a great preference for characters, and an extreme soft spot for Moe.
I hate the Type A/Type B stupidity.
