~ and so (ends) the - X-cellent - anime named - 'MGFX' - which ends on a good note. ~ I was very happy with this series...
I must say the - X-perience - was an - X-huberant - one ndeed, the FINAL was very moving, and very - X-pressive!
HAHAHAHAHAHA! - anyway, as you can see, I was very impressed with this series and I liked it.
It had its hidden moments, it wasn't too dependant on the ecchi factors (imo), and it gave off the messages that it was intended to do. - if one actually looked it had its powerful moments as well, one just had to pay attention to what was being presented.
Here's hoping for a second season! ~

I started watching Yuru Yuri today. I just finished the first episode and think it's pretty adorable.
Aside from that, I watched the last episodes of Lupin, Tsuritama, Nyaruko, Acchi Kocchi, and Medaka Box. I pretty much enjoyed them in that order as well.
I also caught up on Shining Hearts and Hyouka.

Toki! Noooooooooo! This was really painful to watch.
R.I.P. Toki. ;_;
Goddamn! You had me scared when I read this post!
I highly doubt she is going to die, it would be out of character for this series. Toki is however completely incapasitated for the finals more or less and functionally out of the picture because of that. Truly, Toki pushed herself to her absolute limits for the sake of her team (and more specifically Ryuuka and Sera), and she has only made me love her and the girls of Senriyama even more.
Concerning Kuro, she finally did what I thought she would have to do in order to win a hand, she had to ditch her gimicky playstyle and discard a Dora. Unfortunately, it was too little too late. Achiga is still in 3rd place and they haven't even managed to crack 90K yet, whilst Shiraitodai is nearly 100K above even the second place, Senriyama. Her last win was dramatic and did take Teru by surprise (which is no small feat) but the only real purpose it served was to raise Kuro's spirits. Also Shizuno, Ako and Kuro got to see Nodoka after the battle which they do deserve after that thrashing.
But beyond that, my sympathies have now completely shifted from Achiga to Senriyama. Sure Kuro got bent over the table and took it from behind thanks to Teru, but at least she is still able-bodied and in good health. Toki maintained 2nd place (a distant 2nd, but still) at the cost of her health and while I doubt she will die, her fate is admitedly uncertain. And now her team's morale has been shot in the foot due to her being rushed to the hospital. Because of all that, I'm now completely rooting for Senriyama, hoping that their downed morale doesn't cause them to fail miserably. Hell I even have some good will for Shindouji, as even though Hanada knew it was a hopeless fight against Teru, she never gave up.
I don't think it's any secret that I kept on watching the show because of the side characters. I just didn't think I'd grow to love them this much, especially Toki.
I really do hope the best for her.

Re-watching Ghost Hound. The protagonists designs are so cute, yet so out of place for a supernatural anime.

I just watched Tari Tari, so a first impression is in order.
First things first, since it was made by P.A. Works, it looks really damn nice. It's of a similar visual style to Hanasaku Iroha, and as long as it's only the visuals they are copying, I am totally fine with that. Tari Tari just as well is no slouch when it comes to pristine backgrounds and good looking bishoujo, so there are no complaints to be had here.
Concerning characters, my feelings are mostly positive. Most of the characters are fairly interesting and unlike Hanasaku, none of the overtly angered me. I was kinda surprised that Sawa, who is both an Equestrian and an Archer (therefore the most outwardly traditional) was also one of the more mellow and easygoing characters introduced so far. I was expecting a girl with those hobbies would be portrayed as more stern and distant, which ended up not being the case. I enjoy that contrast so far.
The personality I was expecting for Sawa instead went to Wakana, who has a child for a father (not literally of course but he might as well be one). She somewhat reminded me of Minko of Hanasaku, but I can say that as of now I still actually enjoy Wakana's presence on screen. Wakana is suggested and shown to be distant and aloof, and obviously has a few demons to deal with of some kind. Minko on the otherhand was suggested to be aloof, while in reality it was barely withheld contempt and her past did not really offer much in the way of Freudian excuse. Wakana is pretty much just aloof, and her anger seems to come from her own demons yet to be see. As of now I am neutral to Wakana, but I'll give her time.
As for our protagonist (I think), we have Konatsu. She herself is a Genki girl, though she as well has a past event that holds her back (this concert recital a year back or so. Though what exactly she did has not yet been said). She is endearing enough, and I do enjoy her presence on screen as well. She also seems to have a bit of a trickster streak, concerning her blackmailing her brother. Nothing to really complain about with her.
Concerning the male characters, they are a bit less distinct. Taichi (this is now the second thing I have watched of this season with a guy named Taichi) did not get much in the way of screentime, so I can't effectively judge his character yet. It was rather interesting that he was willing to sing in front of the whole class to make up for his lateness however. Also the "returnee" character (who's apparently called "Wiin", I suppose it's a placeholder or nickname) did not really hit it off with me. The whole string of "foreigner who is unfamiliar with Japanese customs" jokes will probably get real old, real fast. I will give him his due time however.
The pregnant teacher also seemed like a cool character, but it looks like we won't see much of her now that she's on maternity leave. Also that other teacher in charge of the choir sounds like a total washout because of that whole bit of "It's easy to love music, getting music to love you back is not." The pace seemed a bit slow, but I suppose I can go for something a bit more slow-paced after seeing The Legend of Korra. I enjoyed most of what I saw, and Tari Tari obviously has more to show. I'll be waiting for the next installment P.A. Works, let's hope this original project works out well for both you and us viewers.

When I was in High School, I used to spend a lot of time watching "Anime Reviewers" on Youtube, however as they started making less and less content and disappeared of the map entirely, I of course stopped watching. I still however watch the videos of JesuOtaku occasionally, as her stuff is well made despite the fact that JO hates a lot of what I like, and I watch "The Anime Zone" on the blue moon occasions he puts up vids on Youtube, for similar reasons as JO since I find him entertaining despite him hating things I like.
I just watched reviews in the past and I occasionally do so now. I am not actually one myself.

Jinrui Ha Tsuitai Shimashita is an odd anime...
The production value is basically Disney-level children's material; character designs akin to children's anime such as Hayazaki's, use of bright contrasting colors, softened infrastructure designs from pre 18th century, and soundtrack that uses a lot of childlike motifs.
The story however...
Modern world as we know it was long gone since human population collapse, and gradually taking over human's role on earth are a bunch of fairies. These little bitches look like spastic retards who obsess over sweets but they have supernaturally advanced technologies. In the first episode, it seems that the humans and even the main character(credited as just 'Watashi') are reserving suspicions over them. The story is supposed to revolve around the main's job as Mediator between humans and fairies for the United Nations. As such, the story carries along all the complicated political, economical and sociological stuff that comes with such big name.
So my question is... who's their target audience...?

True...
however, I will wait further episode viewing, before making any further comment on my end.
Also, the Suicidal Bread scene was the oddest I have ever seen, however I found myself laughing over it.

Oops, summer anime season started today (or yesterday), didn't it? I need to watch some final episodes from the spring season quickly or I'll fall behind.

You can skip the newest season, judging from everyone's reactions.
