Zetman with another great episode. I really need to read the manga. nazo no kanojo as always was great. I need to watch episode 11. As for Mirai Nikki he does something semi awesome at the end if I remember correctly and Uryuu and Akise are pretty good characters. Yuno is one of the best yandere of the last couple of years.

I've been reading the manga and was kind of worried that anime would be rushed with how fast they introduced some characters. Sounds like the anime is doing fine even taking a different path. Now I kind of want to continue with the anime series.

Finished watching Gundam Seed then Gundam 00 and moved onto Gundam Seed Destiny last night. I regret not watching ALL the Gundam series. I think it's because they start off slow and usually that deters me but I stuck with them and they got super epic towards the end. I can't wait to finish Destiny and then season two of 00. The stories are awesome and they seem to always have a nice production budget which I appreciate. Fluid action animation is kind of the reason I started to like anime in the first place. So anyway, I don't know the whole point of this post is, so I'll just say this: Haros are sooooooo cute and I need one. I really really need one ; ; I bought one on Ebay but it was the wrong one and now I have to send it back. :(

Okay I have been keeping quiet this whole time but after watching ep.11 of Nyaruko-san I just can't take Mahiro anymore.
I love this show in all it's zany, reference-stuffed quirky glory. It could stand along side Acchi Kocchi, Jormungand AKB0048 and Lupin III as my favorites of the season. Nyaruko herself is a joy to watch every single time she graces the screen, and Kuuko as well is no slouch in the entertainment department. But there is always one thorn in my side, one big ugly stain on an otherwise practically immaculate shirt, and that is Mahiro.
I'm honestly wondering which would be worse to watch, a wishy-washy male lead or a male Tsundere with almost no redeeming qualities as Mahiro is. He's rejecting Nyaruko on the idea that she is strait out of Lovecraft and therefore not to be messed with. I think that line of though stops holding any water when one finds out that R'lyeh is a fucking amusement park and that the cosmic entities are interested in earth because of Anime, Manga and Games. Also the fact that the entities like Cthugha and Nyarlathotep are not singular all powerful deities but races of superpowered humanoids should also clue one in that (at least in this universe) Lovecraft's descriptions were not spot on. In a show that has this many references and is quite meta, it is very striking and out of place to have a male lead who is completely genre blind (or should I say has a very wrong genre savvy).
Also his habit of complaining loudly all the time does not help endear me to him in the least. His desires for relaxation make littles sense to me as it's not like Nyaruko, Kuuko and Hastur are working all the time. Most of the time they are shirking work and having fun! If Mahiro bothered to just shut up and join in the fun, he would get fun relaxing right there! He complains even when Nyaruko, Kuuko and Hastur save his ass from disaster. It's also rather annoying when he pushes Nyaruko away but is more accomodating of Hastur or that loli-ojou, as it becomes very obvious that he'll change his tune quite readily if a person is non-threatening enough.
Mahiro's situation is similar to Kyon in that he is surrounded by energetic supernatural beings (and possible deities) that he does not want to be around. However Kyon is just as meta and genre savvy as the show he is in, and can adapt to the situation readily. And even when Kyon complains, he does it with a dry wit and interesting dialogue all the way. Mahiro is increadibly inflexible and doesn't seem to realise that this is not exactly like Lovecraft's descriptions, as well as being an ungreatful complainer (Kyon may have lamented his situation, but he was never ungreatful). Though I will admit that even complaining can be pulled off in a way that is entertaining (like Kyon or Araragi). I guess then Mahiro's biggest sin is just being boring, and the rest of his behavior just brings him down further.

OMFG Its so good, too bad its like an episode every fucking 6 months lol! But theyre sooooo good if you can get past the retro character designs! Which are obviously taken from the manga! Ive actually grown to like the designs and aesthetics of the series.

Just finished 30-sai no Hoken Taiiku. It's funny, but it gets repetitive in some parts somehow. Still entertaining though.

finally decided to watch strike witches season 2 i had it on my pc for a while and i also updated smplayer amd added option mplayer command -lavdopts skipframe=nonref:skiploopfilter=all so i can finnaly watch 720p bluray mkv file without lag on my 7 or 9 year old pc i think which has 2167mhz and 2gb ram.
Anyway i am liking season 2 checked it up to episode 4 gonna watch it more probably tommorowAlso i watched now and then, here and there which was the first anime i completed in year 2012.I think i haven't watched anime since 2011 october
Just because it was recomended on a site i visit, also hearing here how rape enchanted the story made me watch it,i liked it pretty much one of the anime that at least works full screen unlike strike witches season2 where i have to watch it not full screen due to the 8mb graphic card display problems i should really try to put in the graphic card my friend gave mePosted 11 months ago # -
I watched From Up On Poppy Hill. It's the newest Studio Ghibli movie, directed by Goro Miyazaki (Hayao's son) with the screenplay being done by Hayao. I really enjoyed it. It was a cute romantic slice of life, similar to Whispers of the Heart. It was absolutely gorgeous and I was definitely satisfied. I regret getting the 720p version and not the 1080p one though. I'm thinking I'll get it again one of these days.

If not, is it still worthwhile to watch?If you have a good notion of how a holy grail war works, nothing. Watch it for the inside jokes of the Nasuverse.
Else a person might understand it better after watching it, so it's sort of vital to the story, mostly for those who are new to the franchise.

I just watched the 1st episode of Kokoro Connect, so it's time for some first impressions.
I was wondering this whole time why it looks like K-ON, and that's because the character designer is Akai Toshifumi, who designed for Sora no Woto (not for K-ON as the SanCom article says). Concerning visuals, it has the same cute and enjoyable Puni Plush style one would expect from K-ON (or Sora no Woto in this case) plus the stylistic choices one would expect from Silver Link (or a slightly more subdued SHAFT). However, since Silver Link is a SHAFT offshoot, the animation in the show is just okay, but a show of this type doesn't need mindblowing animation and Kokoro Connect's gets the job done nicely. I quite enjoy the visuals so far and I hope we get some more of the quirky visual motifs that Silver Link likes to employ.
Character-wise they all seem interesting so far and none of them annoy or off-put me. I also heard the saintly voice of my one of my favorite female Seiyuu Miyuki Sawashiro thanks to Inaba. I find Iori to the the funniest of the girls so far and Taichi is a pretty good male lead so far. They were all entertaining and there was really nothing to complain about.
The concept looks to be interesting too, and could be used for both humor and drama. How far this show will dip into the supernatural cannot be seen so far, but I very interested already.
I have to say I liked what I saw, even if it was really short. I await more to come!
