I knew what was gonna happen but still... Kiritsugu sure is a subhuman piece of trash.

I like this part of Kiritsugu's character, especially at the times when you see how much he doesn't want to be a cold-hearted killer, but can't help it.

I also like the way Kiritsugu's character contrasts with Shiro's. They both share the same goal of wanting to help people, but they go about it in completely opposite ways (and both ways cause other characters and fans of the series to dislike them).

  3. There really was no need to kill Kayneth at that point.
He was a cripple on a wheelchair, his magic circuits were fried, his Servant dead, his wife was heavily wounded and all his Command Seals lost. He was of no threat anymore.

And Kiritsugu's bullshit "Hurr! he could find another Sevant, all threats must be eliminated. Durr! He may want to take revenge". When Kayneth signed that contract, he gave up on the Grail and his pride completely because he knew him and his wife could lose their lives, he realized that in the end the only thing that matters the most is that they get away alive. So he didn't want to risk Sola's life, he signed the contract that was supposed to guarantee their safety but Kiritsugu killed them anyway.

I don't even mind that he killed him, Kayneth knew what he was getting into but at least don't use such underhanded asshole tactics.
And if he really needed to kill him at least don't make it so gruesome.

Kiritsugu is worse than the two serial child murdering psychopaths Ryuunosuke and Caster combined. At least there were honest in what they were doing.

But Kiritsugu... yeah no, fuck that guy.

Wowo what happen to lancer, damn his death is too sad. As for his master they got what they deserve, acting all high and mighty.

I don't think anyone deserves to meet his end like that just because of the fact he acts high and mighty. But yeah, poor Lancer, he didn't deserve what happened to him.

  4. I completely disagree that Kiritsugu is worse than Ryuunosuke and Caster. Unlike them, he doesn't enjoy killing.

  8. Just watched the latest episode of Morestsu Pirates...

~ and I must say that I was a little disappointed in the episode, though I understood that it was their - "first time" - doing an actual piracy with fellow classmates from the Yacht Club, however the cosplay factor (placed) a sour note on the whole affair (for me).

Maybe it was because of the variants on the costumes themselves, they were completely way out, going in all types of directions, that it actually distracted me somewhat.

    Not what I expected...

I am sure that not many will agree with me here on this aspect - nonetheless - (imo) - it was a weak episode with a (forced) aura to it, as well as (kinda) contrived, and the so-called mysterious aspect that was attached seemed (also) forced and tried too hard to be what it wasn't.

I don't know if its just me, but it seemed that the quality fell slightly as well, not really noticeable, but yet was - "there".

Actually I dont really like those episodes when they does this so call Pirating, I kinda prefer it when she goes on some adventure like the one where she search for the Golden Ship.

Yeah see what I mean... it (just) didn't fit, though I understood the (reasoning?) for what they did and why...

Hopefully Marika will grab those ovaries of hers, demand that the Yacht Club use the standard issued pirate clothing, instead of that shite again. ¬_¬

At least Marika and the club president, stayed true to the pirate characters when boarding the Princess Apricot, if they didn't I would've dropped it right then and there.

Well, hopefully this was just a (bridge) that they (apparently) used to finally get to the mysteriousness aspect that is to occur in the next episode. ~ yea kidnapping ~ let's see what will transpire and that it won't be a ~ "Kid" - napping.

btw ~ I still hate the OP, its ok, in the first few minutes, then it just goes sour... just a bunch of yelling.

However, the - ED - is another matter....

And I hate both of them. :D

You know, if I was a Servant and Kiritsugu was my master, I'll probably commit suicide after that or make him use his Command Spells for anything he asks.

Final Dead Lancer - Double Feature.
At least in Carnival Phantasm, Diarmuid wouldn't be bothered so much since he was never a dog.

The OP and ED I think they have ex-Megadeth guitarist, Marty Friedman, playing on them and I love much more the OP, but I'm obviously biased as I listen to heavy metal and music which is often perceived as just a bunch of yelling.

Not really disappointed, you can't expect a show to always have at least decent episodes, and the previous ones were nice.
The cosplay is irritating, but due to the nature of the anime it doesn't leave much opportunity for gratuitous fan-service so they squeeze any bit in they can, hopefully it will improve in the following episodes.

    ~ I thought I better clarify this out-right.

I'm not against Heavy Metal - trust me on this - as I heard enough Heavy Metal classic and current to not be bothered by it in the least.

The OP starts off great, as I stated, its just the yelling of chorus in the 2nd half of the OP that bothers me... it doesn't - "fit" - the mood of the show imo...

when the drum sticks (assuming here) - "hit" - slight pause - and the singing starts, it has that explosive kick and they fit well... its past that.. that it falls short.

Then it's simply a difference of opinions. The flaws of the song are measly to me but they ruin the song to you. I just don't feel it to be as bothersome as you're saying.

    ~ AGREED!

We do have the appreciation for Heavy Metal, yet yeld to the disagreements concerning said OP, so we meet in agreement and I give my respects concerning our disagreement.

I run into this with certain types of music also. A good example is Ali Project's "Black Alice" style. Even songs I like may be distracting if they seem out of place with the show.

Yes. It's surprising how much crappier it can get.
