FWD compacts really are not my thing maybe if they made one like the old RWD Corolla.
I tend to prefer midsized cars with V6s or V8s.

This must be a desperate move by Toyota..... Selling based on just reliability doesn't cut it anymore.
There are new exciting C-segment (compact) startups from Ford, Hyundae and Kia vying to eat away Corolla's dominance in the US market.

The compact segment is pretty cut throat esp after companies like Hyundai and Kia moved in.
Feature creep and the need for safety equipment has made it difficult to be profitable in the segment.
This one reason why many manufactures moved up scale with SUVs and luxury cars as it's a lot easier to make a profit on something you can sell for 40K vs under 20K.To be honest I could careless about integrated bluetooth etc as I'd rather add that third party as the factory stuff usually is out of date by the time the car is on the showroom floor.
Also having AC controls etc integrated with the entertainment center is a crime against humanity and anyone who designs a car that way should be dragged out into the street and shot.
Heck I would happily do this myself if I was allowed to.Yes I talking about shit like the BMW i-drive or i-can't-fucking-drive because I'm trying to figure out how to turn off the heat.
