Coming to America is in many ways the same as coming to the west. And by arriving in the west she has basically arrived in the rest of the world.

More people using her, meaning more songs being made.

And just as there were many talented people that emerged because of Miku in Japan, there's still many more out there waiting for that push that will bring them forth.
By Miku coming to America, general awareness of Vocaloid in general increases, and increases the chance of it reaching those hidden stars.

More songs huh? Out of every 500 of Miku's songs, 450 are crap, 49 are meh and only one's a jewel. And only a few hundreds of songs are produced every month~ I could only hope westerners do a good job.

Well even if Miku is already as popular as she is, a lot of people still don't know her for some unknown goddamn reason. This will boost her popularity. Not like it matters to those who already know her though.

Anyone who uses the Internet regularly has probably seen Miku (or another vocaloid) advertised somewhere. The thing is that most people who aren't interested in anime-related hobbies won't care about checking her out because they'll see her as just another Chinese cartoon. There's also the people who won't listen to vocaloid music because they don't want to listen to moonspeak songs.

Unfortunately, we probably won't get many new (good) vocaloid songs just because Miku will be getting more western exposure. There's just too many people who will be turned away by her anime-esk appearance to bother giving vocaloids a chance (though hopefully I'm wrong).

Just dying laughing here at the magnitude of your comment and the extreme fail it displays as far as coherent is concerned. Especially as it is a complaint in connection with the state of music and is in it's own way an indictment on the state of literary skills.

Is society getting stupid, or just incredibly lazy?

Either way, I am glad for Miku, the more she gets exposed to the world as a whole the better. I hope this concert is not an economic nightmare like the blueray cost was for the first concert. There's no way I am dropping 125 CAD on any concert.

I don't require everyone to like Miku either for her sound or her visual appeal.

Just as it is idiotic to ever expect me to think rap isn't crap mispelled and performers like Lady Gagme worth calling musicians.
