He said he wouldn't help struggling nations such as South Korea or Libya without payment and promised to use swear words while negotiating with China.

Really now.........pretty sure they are doing a whole lot better then us in "greater" america.

  4. O.O south korea is not a struggle nation, you two on crack?
thats like saying japan a struggling nation before the quake.
South korea pays for the upkeep of american forces in their own land
and it's not even split 50/50 between the USA.

  5. Define "Struggling South Korea..."

  6. South Korea is not struggling, even if you could a find a reason to say that it is , putting it and Libya on the same "level" has to be one of the dumbest things I've read in a while.

Even Libya isn't that bad, when you think about it. Before all this drama about Gadaffi Trump wouldn't even know Libya existed. Gadaffi isn't even that bad, there's a reason the poor masses love him so much, it might not be a democratic government but amongst the other dictatorships it certainly isn't that bad.

  8. South Korea's market economy ranks 15th in the world by nominal GDP and 12th by purchasing power parity. It's also one of the largest exporters/importers in the world...

Sounds like that writer is stuck in the 40s/50s...

Sadly, the writer is a billionaire that might be in the presidential run of 2012.

Anyways, apparently by struggling he means in the military way (it's the only reason I can imagine Libya and South Korea on the same sentence), even still, a huge dumbass.

  15. Struggling?
Their per capital GPD is $20,475 USD which ranks as pretty good and it is the highest of any sovereign state in the region except for Japan.
Also autonomous economic regions of Macau and Hongkong have a higher GDP per capital but this will likely only last as long as the hand over treaty granting them autonomy lasts which runs out in 2050 and 2047 respectively.
Of course the PRC could fall before then and be replaced with a new government.

I expect when Kim Il Jong dies SK will simply assimilate the North much as West Germany did East Germany.

South Korea's internet speeds mean nothing when everyone browses with internet explorer and their sites look like they were designed by a hyperactive colour-blind schizophrenic on meth. And there's little to 0 anonymity.

South Korea has terrible internets. In fact, it has terrible computers full stop. Nearly everyone still uses XP.

That's not very hard when the region is full of communists and third-world crapholes.

SK's GPD per capita is half that of the US, Japan and most north-western European countries. It's in the same league as countries like Greece, Portugal and the Czech Republic. It's not third-world, but it's definitely in the lowest tier of first-world countries.

True but where was their GPD per capital just 20 to 30 years ago?
I seen Hyundai cars go from something cheap and reliable maybe even almost embarrassing to be seen in to something almost as respectable as a Honda or Toyota.

Rapid economic growth doesn't continue forever. Just look at Japan.
