So does anyone collect Max Factory Figmas here in SC?
i was wondering if we could post our opinions on the different figmas released already,or you've accumulated, like a mini-review per se
and also to know what bootlegs are "released" that way we could take precaution when ordering these stuff online

i shop from hlj, amiami, and sometimes if needed ebay...its just like a precaution for everyone as ive stated
edit: and just for the record, i panic whenever i see bootleg stuff...as in go paranoid mode, LOL!, got tricked once with a Nendoroid here in Chinatown (was new to the country when i moved here like 2 years ago), realized it was fake, went back within 16 hours to the shop and ask for a return (seller guaranteed original), seller refused to give money, slapped seller with a lawsuit, seller gives money back...lol

true, but ive only bought one figma on ebay and it was original, i always backread their feedback and stuff, gotta be careful on ebay and save the real sellers :D

No, but I have bought some before as presents.
I actually hate the strength design =[ if anything I want the white rock shooter figma, but I don't want the game ~_~ sighhhh
@yu: the only reason why i got her was because of the hood, the hood was the "closer" for me...
and i agree, WRS looks real badass with that scythe, but alas for 10k yen, not even worth it, game looks dumb...

Chain of Japanese used goods stores specializing in otaku related items. You'll find many a rare or long sold out figure there, sometimes for less than retail and usually brand new condition.
If you're concerned about counterfeits, here's a tip. Go to myfigurecollection and look under the information of the figure you're getting to see if it has reported counterfeits. Not all figures get reported but it might help.

No. 005 Takamachi Nanoha - Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS
As she is one of the first figma to ever be made, she has a lot of design flaws. Her hair doesn't stay in place well, it's difficult to get pieces in the holes, such as getting the figma stand in her back.
No. 009 Fate T. Harlaown - Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS
Vast improvements over Nanoha's design. A lot of large accessories. Stands fit properly. Paint looks a lot crisper.
No. 026 Yagami Hayate - Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS
Not much difference since Fate's improvements. Still a good figma.
No. 062 Fate Testarossa(uniform) - Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's
I bought her because....I bought Nanoha. More on that later.
No. 066 Tsuchimiya Kagura - Ga-Rei Zero
Kind of an impulse buy. Wanted to get Yomi and felt that I needed to get Kagura to compliment her. Noticed that they changed the way the hands slide into the arm. Much easier to swap out parts now.
No. 067 Isayama Yomi - Ga-Rei Zero
Wanted Yomi. Her evil grin face is superb. And she can wear a ponytail too.
No. 073 Teana Lanster - Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS
Tea is my favorite of the forwards. She can be displayed in post-StrikerS form. She has a "hair down" option and a bigger cross mirage.
SP. 007 Takamachi Nanoha(uniform) - Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's
Bought with the PSP game Battle of Aces Limited Edition. Price was something like $150~ or around there. Just wanted it 'cause it was a limited edition really.
SP. 012 Black Rock Shooter - Black Rock Shooter
Picked this up when it was on sale. Wasn't going to pick it up originally. Rock shooter is too heavy for her. Not convenient to display with it. Just stick with the sword most of the time.
It seems I only have Nanoha and Ga-Rei figmas. And BRS is a loner. :/
@motaku: apparently im having the same Nanoha-sickness as well, and i havent seen a single episode, so far i only got Subaru/Tea/Hayate with Fate still back in where i used to live and Caro incoming within a few days from hlj (fedexed it) and Nanoha within 2 weeks (friggin problem with paypal)
