   Pantsu, kudasai!
   

   I asked this long ago in a forum I used to frequent, and I got mixed answers, so Im curious on what sancom has to say about this.

   If in the future you had kids, and assuming the mother/father was also into anime/games, or at least was ok with it, would you name your kid after a character, or choose a japanese name?

   So far I've only met one girl who named her son anything remotely anime like, her son's name is Ryu, after the Street Fighter's character.

   I obviously have a few names I'd considered using if I ever have kids in the future, I like Akane and Eri, a bit more character specific I liked Kallen and Nunnally a lot, Lenalee and Lilinneth/Lilinette were kinda inconsequential characters for me, but I liked their names. I got more but I need to look for the list I made haha

   so what say you?

   Sure, but not some stupid name like Cloud. Or not weeaboo sounding.

   Off the top of my head, Yuki and Shana are two good names.

   Yuki at first I was apprehensive about, because that's what we called sno cones in my hometown hahaha, so I can see my brothers making fun of my kid "haha yuki? really what flavor?" but its too cute of a name to pass.

   just curious, what would be a weeaboo sounding name to you?

   If I was famous enough i would name my kid Cloud and have him play with Gwyneth Paltrow's kid to troll the world.

   @ Giga, while I can't say I agree (for obvious reasons) I do see your point. Although there are others who stuck to their language/nationality and created even worse names (and clearly should've never reproduced)

    I quote this bit to say it's better than say Kimela. yes i knew a person with this name and i could NEVER figure it out.

    Now as for me maybe i like the name Deedlit myself. Has a nice sound to it for me. Other than that i can't think of any off the top of my head.

    aaah ok. now that you mentioned gunslinger, I liked Triella and Henrietta. Hitomi and Hikaru also have a nice ring to them, specially if they were twins XD

    Well Yuki does mean "snow".

    Something definetly Japanese that would immediately spur thoughts of anime, i.e. Sasuke, Sakura, Ichigo.
