To be honest I never really thought of it as a legitimate news site. It's always had crazy news and echii stuff and then I just stayed for the forum really...

I don't remember there being any time when Artefact didn't engage in gentle ribbing against the US for having so many fundies. And the main page has had stories about non-Japan-related internet phenomena for a long time.

I mean there was always a small trickle of shit oozing out of (otherwise good) articles, but now it's like someone dumped a truckload of shit, and made them into hate articles.
I did never come to SanCon to hear "serious" or "100% accurate" news, but blatantly straying from the overall purpose of this site is getting on my (and I presume many others) nerves.
I've never liked the "news," I just came for the picture galleries.

FYI I'm neither American nor Chinese and I don't care what people here think about either and I don't rage when people make fun of my home country (Finland). Releasing articles wholly based on Artefact pissing on foreigners is not good.
My point is that, as I quoted in the first post, people come here to read about the latest trends, anime, see the picture galleries, participate in the forum, fap etc. Not to read articles about how the X group/country/person suck, because they did/said Y.
ADD: Maybe if it's somewhat related to the site's overall purpose, but just taking random polls some religious lunatics made up and passing those as news related to tsunami is just stupid.
Im not trying to defend anyone, just saying who the hell cares about such shit?
If I wanted to debate and read about morals/religion/politics I don't think SanCon should be the first website to come into my mind.

I'm not trying to tell Arte how to run this site. I'm giving critizism about the quality of the news. Why do you think I'm even posting this? Because I love SanCon and don't want it to sink into the sea of shitdom. Some may disagree with my opinions, but "lol butthurt OP, we love Arte" is hardly a good argument. Point of this thread is to have discussion.
