   If you try to think "I gotta think of something as random as possible"
   Then of course it wouldn't work, since you thought about it. You shouldn't think at all and choose the first thing that enters your head. A "spanner" or a "paint scraper thing" isn't what I would think of first. Unless you see it right now, or saw that tool just recently thus making it the first thing that pops up in your head.

   Blue hammer and Green hammer, I dunno what to say. :|

    These things have never worked one me, ever. I don't where the paint scraper came from, but I know brown at last was random. Maybe it was kind of red, brown and red can sort of blend, and a paint scraper is vaguely club-like, IE a hammer.

    I've never been in the army. Although the first colour that comes to mind when I think of the army is brown.

    Is there a reason why everyone picks the red hammer? I know that people like Derren Brown can trick people into giving certain answers to questions like these by giving subliminal messages; I wonder if something like that is going on here?

    Or is it just that "red" is the most common answer when people are asked to think of a colour, and "hammer" is the most common answer when people are asked to think of a tool?

    I'm also interested by the number of people who claimed not to have thought about a red hammer. Perhaps the 98% thing is wrong? Or maybe it's just that sancon has a disproportionate number of people with "non-standard" psychological profiles?

    The last number before the tool+color question is:
    128 - one hundred twenty eight

    And a hammer is one of the most universal and widely known tools.
