  2. God damn...for one of the first times (I always put the shit quality stuff down due to the number of people and the relatively low level of development) this actually makes me angry and ashamed to be Chinese. I almost want to smack myself and my family around from coming from people like these bastards.

Most were driving Chinese cars or something European in that case likely something produced locally for the Chinese market.
China has an extremely protectionist automotive market there are American and Japanese cars sold there but they are very expensive there due to tariffs.

That is pretty callus Japan more then paid for Pearl Harbor at the end of WWII.

China has much more of an excuse to be an ass then the US does as what happened to them in WWII was far worse but still it was 60 years ago different generation committed those terrible acts.

Oh you silly boy so innocent. The European cars are not produced locally. Why do you think the rich drive them? The basic Japanese brands may produce some basic models locally but the desirable ones come from Japan.

    You really are clueless.
More then a few basic models.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dongfeng_Honda_Automobile
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shanghai_GM

BTW I pretty much stated only the rich drive an actual imported car in China.
The markup on an import there is very high which is why so many companies do the above joint ventures.

Oh how i relish the fact that you go so far to prove your views. Those are pretty insignificant for most to care but for you they are not. For when I posted the J-cars we did not have a few months ago you go straight to wikipedia like the fool that you are. If really knew anything you would know that those are completely different.

Can't admit you're wrong like this mule.

Nine VW plants exist in China with a tenth under construction deal with it.

Honda to build second plant in China http://world.honda.com/news/2010/c100120Dongfeng-Honda/
Your posts are just just text not worth getting mad over.

BTW I once knew someone like you in HS and he got his ass kicked on a regular biases of course he insulted people he met in person.

The difference between you and Char in this situation: Char used his time to learn something, and disseminate that knowledge to other people. You used you time to insult someone for learning, and providing you with the information he learnt. Tell me, who gained more from this event, and why?

I've encountered my share of them.
BTW those are stupid fucks too since some seem to be using their real names for such hateful posts.
I swear I'd like to find some of them and kick their asses if they're nearby.

It's very bad taste to make jokes about a tragedy like that.

  15. it surely is a shame, I'm not gonna defend them. You know what the most ironic part is? Most of us Chinese care about the earthquake happened in Japan more than the same misfortune happened on our own land. Know why? Because we barely hear a thing from the disaster area in Yunnan, thanks to the government's news blockout (the censorship thing), we don't actually know how is the situation out there, we don't even know how bad it is. But we do know the earthquake happened in Japan via internet

I'd say most of Chinese ordinary people feel awful about what happened in Japan, and we also have a debate with those who make fun of or largh at Japan's suffering.

I always feel bad when I read some articles which are China related on Sankaku. I know some of you guys hate China, but please hate the government, not the people. Believe me we hate it too.

i still don't understand how a >billion people can put up with being enslaved to probably <100 people.

well, i understand the reasons. arguably, i myself am doing the same after all. but still, i just find it really strange.

If I remember correctly from this paper I wrote back in high school, China's government consists of well over 1,000 people.

well, i'm just guessing figures so you're probably right. though my guess was so low because of the fact that the power in their government is probably dispersed in a long tail i.e. a few have a lot of power, a lot have less power.

still though, if the Chinese wanted freedom on the internet, speech and all that stuff it wouldn't be difficult to obtain. what can a mere 1000 people do against >billion. just kill all the peeps in power. :D

I should fucking hope so. 1000 people is a very small government. With a population of over a billion, they need a fairly sized government.

I agree, but you have to also take into consideration military action. Will the military support the people, or the government (and in what ratio)? During the overthrow, will there be difficulties from other nations invading China, hostile to the people? What form of government will take over after rebellion, and who will lead it (will it be better or worse than the current situation)? What portion of the population actually supports the government? And, most importantly, how do you get a significant portion of the population to act?
