i was rewatching yu-gi-oh series 1 and i became curious as to how the jap version was.
the eps i found on youtube were totally different. are they totally different series?

Now that I think about it, the first episode I recall airing in the US did seem to just kind of pick up out of nowhere...that would explain everything, huh?

It didn't have the cards they were trying to market. It was more just Yugi punishing criminals and bullies with sadistic games, murder, and life-wrecking diseases.

Yeah the Yugioh Manga made me see how sadistic and dark the show was. Even if it was toned down from a lot.

First thing Yugi was a cheat, second the real Game maybe expensive but its fun to play (just like any hobby)

I used to be into the first series (with yugi yamamoto) but then began to lose interest after pegasus' battle island thing :/

The US first episode is Japanese Season 2 episode one. 4kids left out the whole arc where Yugi and Yami weren't so co-operative with each other. People died, Kiba was packing heat all the time, you know...just all the good stuff.

What? You must be mad. 8 new Six samurai cards came out this month. They had a shounen jump tournament this weekend and A six Sam deck won the whole thing.
3 of the 8 new cards are now in the $40+ dollar each price range in the secondary market. Yu-gi-oh by far is my most expensive hobby :/

multiply that by 6 down here the one of the six samurais cost up too 500 hundred bucks and yes people will buy it.

Yeah Dude, yu-gi-oh is pretty adult for a show 4Kids picked up. As always if you want the truth about a show read the manga.I do feel I must watch this season zero. Any hobby is expensive when you want the good shet.

Season zero was awesome. Unfortunately, when I watched it a few years ago, I couldn't find subs for the last few episodes so I had to watch them raw. Regardless, it was still good.
