There used to be a quite active Skype chat group since last year, well, it's almost dead now... It'd be nice to have something like that again :D

Its still there, just many have formed (personal) splinter groups, or some attendees don't desire to talk, just type.
Which is usually the case...
I usually do the talking, while the rest (just) respond by typing, because I just don't force anyone to talk when they're not ready (or) confident enough yet.
Don't get me wrong, I do talk to many, just kinda died down a bit, or its "selective" on who talks to whom...

I think I never actually TALKED in a conference (I only do with Archie once in a while). I'm still a bit embarassed of my pronunciation xD

It would be good training thoughThat's okay. You can just type. Most people do that. In fact, back when we did conference calls all the time, obviously there were people without microphones or others who didn't want to talk.
