My pathetic old computer, it's able to play Fatal Frame IV just fine.
PlayStation 1. No problem. PlayStation 2. Still no problem. Nintendo Gamecube. No problem. Nintendo Wii. Not even a problem here.
The Computer is officially the gaming God.

Ukonkivi, I'm so proud of you~
:3
Ukonkivi is a proud and happy kitty now, Obsidian is proud of him.
Err, my computer specs.
AM3 Dual Core
4 GB DDR3 RAM
1 GB HD 4870
Windows 7 64-Bit
Which means my Graphics Card is two series behind. And I have a lot less Cores than a lot of people. I considered this sort of a "budget build". It's nowhere near bleeding edge of any sort. I'm hoping to get a sharp new 6970 CrossFireX soon. And more CPU Cores. I hear the Bulldozer is going to have a whopping 16! I'm strongly considering not buying any CPU upgrades until it comes out.

I never did manage to get my comp to emulate past PS1 and NDS...
It's troublesome searching for BIOS files so I just settled with the real consoles I have now.

Why not go for a 6990? ;) It's supposedly set for release during this quarter. And the Bulldozer will have 8 cores in 4 modules. You might think of it as 4 cores with hyperthreading :P

Those specs do leave all the current consoles in the dust, so its not really surprising you know...

More powerful than my computer.
I had trouble getting my old laptop to emulate the leaked copy of Blazblue: Continuum Shift. I should try it on my new PC...

All you have to do is grab the latest version and PCSX2. And the default settings and plug-ins are pretty good. All else you need is the BIOS and PirateBay has them.
The only thing you may want to do when you get it is up the resolution if you think your computer can handle it. Making the 3D graphics look more beautiful.
And if you get problems in framerate, when you ever do, and it's enough to degrade your playing experience, go to Emulation Settings and then adjust the Speedhacks.
They actually got the Wii emulator to play commercial games finally?
I think I'll give it another try.
Last time tried dolphin I got decent speed but nothing would play except for a few GC games.
As for PS1 emulation that's easy even my old power mac and Xbox 1 played PS1 games pretty well.
Yeah, I'm just saying there's less to "worry" about. PCSX2 has good graphics plugins that come with it. You don't need to go doing things like grabbing Pete's Plugins and Eternal SPU and messing with the settings to make it look good.
