The way I view Ranking:
Non Ranked - Trash/Casual Player
Bronze - Trash player
Silver - Below Average player
Gold - Average player
platinum - above average player
Diamond - Master of the game
Challenger - Pro level

I just watched a 65 min dota match and I wish riot would only buff champions instead of nerfing them for a while. I mean shit like divine rapier, 5 second silences, 4 second stuns and shit like that would make the game so much more interesting.

Silver is actually average though. If you include everyone in the player base it would probably be low silver. Though I guess that's just going by numbers rather then skill.
Also even if you get countered you can still do stuff you just need to know the matchup. And I don't really play with anyone cause I only play solo ranked. Unless Ichi or H-ero are on I play with them, or tilly. And one of my old team mates.
