Anime stories about friendly aliens

  1. Many Western stories (and some anime stories) about aliens or UFOs depict them mainly as threats.

When thinking of stories that involve friendly aliens, I mostly thought of Urusei Yatsura, Niea_7, and Asobi Ni Iku Yo! However, there are clearly some substandard anime series about aliens, such as UFO Princess Valkyrie.

The Japanese consensus about UFOs seems to be that they are piloted by nubile women who wear very revealing clothing.

What are the most important anime stories about friendly aliens?

the reason for that derives from subconscious xenophobia

If Asobi ni Iku yo! does then yes, cause both have good and bad aliens.

I believe 'UFO baby' would fit into this. Also Kashimashi ~Girl Meets Girl~.

  5. More important question:

How come hair color decides breast size?

  8. I remember watching "Mojacko" when i was little. He's like orange kirby but uglier but was the shat (back then).

Also Daa! Daa! Daa! / UFO Baby

(i'd say doraemon but he's just from the future)

  9. Here's hoping Arakawa Under the Bridge counts, LOL~

Not all Western sci-fi depicts aliens as evil, or a threat to modern humanity. I'd say it's close enough that it's hard to tell which is in the majority.

  11. Not all aliens are scantily clad, then there is this bunch of trouble makers.
    ^_^

The irony is that two of them are cops, and one of them is one of the uber greatest scourges of the galaxy, another is one of the maddest semi-scientists in the known galaxy, and one is married to Schrobby

  16. It might be easier to list all the alien anime that don't have friendly aliens.

Looking at that pic right now, I'd say Chuck looks more like Zim rather than a disguised GIR. Minus the zippers.

  20. Should make a difference between fanservice anime and 'regular anime' in my opinion...
Fanservice will always include breast size from DFC to Double D and a bunch of varied alien girls who somehow take a liking to the same male character regardless of the reason of their stay at Planet Earth^^u

Everything else seems quite equal in Western&Eastern depictions of aliens...
