  2. Yes, I know all all about the secret base, nazi UFOs etc.

In 1945 the Nazis went to the moon and in 2018 they return to conquer the Earth.

You can find a lot of stuff just by googling "Nazi ufos".

But if you are lazy here's something:

    The Bell part 2

    The Bell part 3

    The Bell part 4

Also Wikipedia has a page about Nazi UFOs

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_UFOs

About the Iron Sky movie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Sky

  7. Greetings ~

I wouldn't say that this should be in the Retro Thread, far from it, but I do know that our esteemed member - the Envoy - has made a thread about "Mysteries and the Unknown"

I know he will place a comment here soon, so until he does, he will more than likely place the link to it, and so until then (continue) the discussion.

Besides WWII Mysteries are always interesting and intriguing...

    Remember ~

Just keep the discussion going, don't over do the piccies, and the usual propaganda that follows such topics.

    You beat me to those.
Here's some more Nazi aerospace weirdness.

Looking at the Horten 229 I'm glad Hitler was impatient because if he waited a little longer before starting WWII we would have been screwed.

  10. Given Hitler's fancination with the occult, he may have been searching for the Lance of Longinus which is buried somewhere on the Shakelton ice shelf alon with Adam himself.

Regardless, any remnats of the Nazi regime in Antartica would be dead by now.

That stealth bomber could have rendered Britain's trump card microwave radar ineffective.
This was Hitler's biggest mistake was he gave up on taking over the UK before invading the USSR.
If Britain fell the US would no longer had a place to stage long range bombers and their escort fighters.

Escort fighters like the P-51 may not have been able to accompany B-29s launched from Greenland.
It was escort fighters like the P-51 that saved the allied bombing campaign.

Other issues they only had enough material to make a few bombs.
When the two were dropped on Japan they would not have been able to do it again for another six months as there was no more Plutonium or refined U235 left.

it's not a stealth bomber (like B-2) -it needs more than only the shape
Horten 229 it's not big enough to be a bomber and with those wings it would be no problem to shoot that thing down
the only advantage of that thing would be that it could be seen a bit worse on the radar but overall it's fail - if that design is so good why there exists only one plane B-2 with such design
...and jet engines came too late

the first nuke was meant for Berlin but the war ended so Japan got 2 for the price of 1

The real interest likely would have been oil,Uranium, and other useful resources.

Germany fueled their war machine with synthetic fuels made from coal.
They were always short on fuel during the war which is why the V2 used alcohol as it's fuel.

I believe most Nazi activity in Antarctic halted soon after the invasion of the Soviet Union.

and wouldn't it be a bit pointless to build a base in Antarctica...
    maybe only a U-Boot base

in all honesty this in particular subject really does "capture me" in a way because it reminds me of when after the One year war(mobile suit gundam) zeon remnants fled to the Axis space colony so I think it would make a great movie or similar IMO
(now if only Hollywood took notice of this....)
