  1. Should I get this? It looks pretty good with a great base but many people I know said the face sculpt looks off (mainly the mouth)

    So, GET or NO GET?

    GSC is always full of win... couple that with Rin and there is NO WAY it won't be epic. I say it's as safe of a purchase as you can get ;)

    And from a quick Google to compare more pictures, the hair is simply GORGEOUS, the proportions look perfect and the face seems to be as accurate as you can get.

    It's nice that you're posting about it here, but isn't that a question you should ultimately answer yourself? XD

    While I don't lke her mouth much either, I think the figure as a whole is absolutely beautiful. I'd get it if I could afford it.

    @Nin

    What are you guys seeing wrong with the mouth?

    The facial expression seems pretty fitting for the character IMO.

    I HAVE TO AGREE!

    They've quality and I too would also purchase Rin.

    However, like anything else, the decision will rest on your shoulders and heart.

    Personally, I see nothing wrong with the face sculpt, maybe its ~ *just* ~ the angle in which the photo was taken and the action pose ~ as well ~ that makes it appear that its *off*..

    Regardless, I would place the bills down for her.

    It's fitting, I agree. But I would like it if her mouth was a little bit wider.

  7. Firstly, let it be known that
    PLATFORM'D SHOES SHOULD BE BANNED FROM FIGURES
    unless the character wears actual platform shoes.

    Aside from that, that's one very fine sculpture, probably the best Rin Tohsaka figure I've seen so far. Regarding the mouth, maybe it's one of those "in-the-heat-of-the-action" facial expression?

    Additionally, before I put my money on this, I would ensure that the figure is sufficiently detailed, especially the one important piece of clothing she should have (you all know which clothing I'm talking about).

    Thus, whether I would GET or DON'T GET, I dunno about your tolerance on platform'd shoes, deadbeat, but that's a dealbreaker right there.

    Indeed, It goes without saying, you can't go wrong with a GSC PVC figure.

    "It's high quality shit son!" I imagine Antiweeboo would say something along these lines. ;)

    There's not many figures of Rin out there that's well sculpted as this one, unless you count the Maid version of her that was released few years ago, also by GSC. This figure is truly well sculpted and the pose with her flowing hair is just gorgeous.

    Regrading about the mouth, I see no problem with it as It fits well with the face in my opinion. Would be a shame if you decided to pass due to something trivial as her mouth get to you from purchasing though. :<

    I already have this pre-ordered the second I saw it available. I intend to have this little beauty displayed with the movie poster as the background.

  10. I think she looks great except that her legs look a bit thin. That could lead to leaning issues in the future.

    GSC is some good shit, they don't compete in Super GT for nothing.

    I can see that happening with certain poses... as in single leg stance poses.

    Maybe a slight (non-invasive) modification can correct this (possible) issue?

  14. then again, I dont expect GSC stuff to lean unless you put it right under a hairdryer

    =====

    This is true.

    Direct heated contact (either by hair dryer or direct lamp) is not advisable.

    I have not run across one that falls over or actually seen one that - lean - however, anything is possible.

    I will (assume) that Motaku has seen this issue occur? with some figures...

  16. Cute, buhhht,...
    uhmm there is too much black, and no thanks to static electricity, it will need a covered display case - other wise it will collect a lot of dust.
    Jus sayin, coz those of us who have more than a few, have to do occasional maintenance from time to time.
    Except for those who just collect and neglect.
