  1. I dunno if this is great news or what, but WB plans to reboot the Buffy series and produce a new movie!

    Warner Bros have announced their plan to make a new Buffy The Vampire Slayer film - without the involvement of original writer Joss Whedon or any of the original cast. New Buffy writer Whit Anderson spoke to the LA Times about her vision for the makeover.

    "The thing that was so wonderful about Buffy is what made it special was so timeless," she said. "The deep struggle she had with duty and destiny, that tug between what you’re supposed to be doing and what you want to be doing.

    "The fate of the world is on her shoulders but some days she wakes up and she just doesn’t want to do it. And are we doomed and destined to love someone? That conflict was very interesting to me."

    Sauce

    Joss Whedon (the Buffy mastermind) hates the idea.

    So does Alyson Hannigan (the other pretty girl who turned les)

    @General Jack D. Ripper

    And you just noticed that NOW?!

    I guess all Dan Brown's books turning into movies (meh... almost all), Harry Potter from dippers to shaving blades spilling movies every year, remake after remake after remake (and yes, I totally blame YOU Tim Burton for it), about all the hero in comic books getting their trilogy + 1 remake + 1 spin off done.... like really?! You think they just runed out of ideas NOW?! I can count with the fingers of my armless monkey how many original scripts have appeared in the past years...

    As far as Buffy goes it was nice, but I would rather watch a new season of Firefly out of anything Whedon created... we didn't have nearly enough of that even with the epic movie :(

    I understood that when I saw Avatar. It's Pocahontas, just that the stone they're searching for got a new name, they're all blue and now they're in SPACE. Seriously! I mean.. Unobtanium? Someone seems to be running out of fantasy.

    But seriously man this is getting rediculous.

    I thought everyone knew about Unobtanium. But I was seriously disappointed in James Cameron after Avatar. It was SO BAD.

  17. Avatar seemed like a futuristic Dances with wolves to me. Though the story is totally unoriginal, the visual effects and the cinematography is admirable. Overall it was decent popcorn movie like mordahl said.
