   I mean...it used to be fun, and a little bit of fan service. Now it's all just story trolling a-la DBZ, or whatever attempt some company can make to stretch a story over as much "fan service" (which has become at least soft-core porn). I miss the line that used to separate my hentai and anime. Of course, there's still some good stuff that I thoroughly enjoy, but it sure looks like there's a lot more crap out there. And the crap is turning high amounts of profit, so I don't see an end to it.

   No not really. Though moeblob series are getting a bit old. As someone said here once before.

   Or something to that effect. But in general no anime is my obsession as is manga and games. For better or worse it will rule my life. Well it and GF if i ever get one.

    I agree with the OP... Its like anime is not cool anymmore... I mean, I started watching anime around the year 2000, and you could easily compare mainstream manga titles with mainstream comic book titles, nowadays you can't make that comparison because the mainstream titles are either about emo metrosexual characters, tits or girls drinking tea...

    I mean... look at '' My sister can't be this cute'' ( or whatever the hell is called ) is just about a guy that has a sister that is into anime and she likes ecchi... and people are giving it a lot of praise and calling it a ''really original story''!!!

    And don't get me started on High School of the Dead...how can somebody fuck a zombie story so badly?

    I mean, back there there was only like 1 or 2 famous ecchi animes out of 10 animes ( and the ecchi just consisted on showing a girl's panties )

    Nowadays there are like 7 famous ecchi animes out of 10 animes! Not to mention that like OP said, the ecchi now is almost soft-core porn!

    That's because you didn't see all the terrible shit that came out except for the best stuff. Now it's easy to see EVERYTHING that comes out. Most is garbage, just like movies and books and music.

    As for My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute, the animation is pretty good.

    Well, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. And I'll certainly check out the recommendations. Any other recommends would be welcome. I guess to find the quality stuff, you've just really got to look now. Aside from the few shining stars, that is.
