    It's been a while since my last post here in the Sankaku Forum's about Newtype (and other rags) Rankings, well...

    Here is the last edition of Newtype Magazine Monthly character ranking, with Setsuna and Feldt at 1st in both categories, both from the Gundam 00 Movie that its currently showing at the Japanese theathers (there is also some theathers showing the movie in the US, Singapore and Australia).

    FEMALE

    4. Kira Yamato (Gundam Seed)
    5. Kamijou Touma (To Aru Majutsu no Index 2)

    There is also the monthly character ranking of Animedia Magazine, in contrast with Newtype rankings the Animedia character rankings do not separate the characters in ''Female'' and ''Male'' categories.

    In the case of Animedia it seems that the audience of the magazine it's more sympathetic with the moe-blob side than Newtype, proof of that its the presence of the 4 K-On! girls at the Top 5.

    What is it with Feldt Grace? I mean really. She's hardly done anything except mope around after unresponsive men. Oh, and hand out flowers to people. At least the K-On girls have some personality from what I've seen of that series.

    Can't speak for Animedia, but Newtype Japan seems to attract a certain type of Otaku. I'm sure if we were to take the most popular anime from all anime fans in general, the results would be even more appalling.

    You're watching the wrong anime then... K-On! was never about REAL music and band's, in fact, it was all about girl's doing nothing stuff all the time.

    No, because that would imply that K-ON! is trying to have a plot or character development like in BECK, but is not even trying.

    What really blows my mind, is that K-ON actually sells a shitload of Fender Japan guitars.
    Just release guitars with the K-ON logo on the back of the headstock (like BECK) already.
    They would make even more money with that.

    Tough, it would be funny to see hundreds of guys at anime conventions with guitars and none of them knowing how to play them!

    Those poor things probably just sit there on display, begging to be played.
    But once K-ON is all over, they will sell the guitars in order to have some money to buy some new pointless shit.
    And when that time comes, i will be there to pick up a cheap 2nd hand stang for modding purposes.

    I hope that I can get one that only has the K-ON! logo on it, so I can scratch it and use it!
