      So, I had this one dream a long time ago, where it was me and my mom in the car, she was driving. We were on our way to our apartment and there was stuff on fire all over the place, not like everything was on fire but just patches of fire like there had been a battle, and as we were driving along we got to where we would turn into the parking lot of our apartment when this bus came barreling through, out of control and also on fire. My mom suddenly turned to the right into a cornfield (our apartment was to the left) and as we drove though I woke up.

      Then several months later I had the same dream, me and my mom in the car, same flaming bus, but this time we turned to the left toward our apartment when we avoided the bus. then we went up to out unit and there my dad and my brother were all being held hostage. I can't remember what exactly happened after that but i think we saved them.

      That's really cool; I've never experienced anything like that.

      I've had similar things happen, but the various iterations usually come within the same night. I'll remember that I just had the same dream, perhaps just before the last dream, how many times I've had it, what the outcome was, and I can make changes accordingly. Sometimes I'll have as many as 6 repeats in the same night.

      The one instance that really stands out is from when I was about 13. I had a dream almost every night for two weeks where a guy broke into the house and started stealing stuff. I tried to hit him, but my punch would always go so slow that it wouldn't hurt him, and he'd laugh. The last night I had it, I finally got so angry when he started laughing at me that I smashed into him like a wrecking ball and knocked him across the room. He stopped laughing and looked completely shocked the instant before I hit him. He said something like "that's not possible!" and tried to get up and run, but I'd made up my mind I was going to keep hitting him until I crushed him to a pulp. The dream kind of fell apart at that point, and I woke up.

      Before that, I used to have nightmares several times a week. Since then, I have never had one again. Any time something bad happens, I fight.

      Same here when I have a nightmare about something attacking me I usually fight back if I realize it is a dream often with far more then my physical abilities.
      I pretty much use what ever I can imagine such as guns,lasers, power suits,an army of minions, or a giant robot etc.
      Sometimes I can even change my physical form in a dream such as I once became a giant robot to deal with these monsters that were attacking then I disposed of them all Voltron style though one got Eva style treatment.
      Freddy Kueger might regret entering one of my dreams as it would be like fighting with one of the witches of Umineko.

      I had a dream i was in a hotel with a few people trying to solve a murder case. We end up finding out the culprit is my assistant principal from high school. I Finally catch her after hours of looking and instead of trying to take her to the police, i have sex with her instead. Such a weird dream, lol.

      I had a dream about a naked woman getting lathered in butter while sitting in a bath tub in the middle of a shopping mall.

      Then a witch came along, licked her foot and then cursed her so she'd be forced to have lesbian sex with a female vampire in the shopping mall toilets.

      I have a feeling the second part of the dream may be influenced by watching True Blood before I went bed. The first part... I have no idea.

      When I read that I visualized everything with touhou characters.
      Sakuya is the naked woman Marisa is the witch and Remilia is the vampire.
