  2. JimmyLuong does bring an interesting poitnt that i've thought about. people do suffer and people die before their time, not just in Africa. That is based on Human Fault and affect.
That in itself is not important. If every Human being on this earth is allowed to achieve freedom and live life to their fullest.
If humanity is able to reach this benchmark of life without restriction.

What would a free environment mean for humanity, would it be a next step towards evolution, would it be a final destruction.
If all life is allowed to foster and grow, and the individuals impact on the bigger picture is fully realized, will there be something to be revealed as humanity hopes or will there be nothing which will start the beginning of the end.

Those consequences alone would not answer the question, but it does add to the equation to be solved.

The Path of Humanity right now and for hundreds of years, is to become one, there is no denying that.
The leaders of our history work to move towards that path.
Real Wars are the ultimate rebuke or advancement towards that goal, with individuals seeking power losing, and interestingly the religious movement of all humanity winning. There is no individual in the religious movement. It is the Mindset of the human race that happyness will lead to a better place. Religion merely harnessess the individuals will towards a common goal.Just had to make that clear.

SO while some including myself try to find the answers to life on their own. It is cannot be ignored that people have already made a decision and humanity will is already progressing towards unity. Whatever is achieved by this will be interesting.

Thats why i like your perspective JimmyLuong, because while people generally don't care about others who are suffering, the thing is that something is being done for the sake of a common goal.

The Individual is not important until they decide they have the power of live.
What they do with that power is up to them, whether action, thought, or even to do nothing except adapt. It still has an impact.

P.s. Philosophers can suck mai dick.

  6. If mankind manages to cure every existing disease before we can change the DNA of our children at will, the human race is fucked.

  8. Well, to me, the meaning of life is to learn something new everyday, to discover some revolutionary shit by mistake, to create something that will not have a meaning to others but something that fills you inside.
And I think that life would be meaningless if you lost your will to go on, simply put, you would only be a lump in life.

  9. If life has no meaning, perhaps that is for the best. It leaves us to find our own meaning, rather than have it forced upon us.

  10. I gave up on looking for a meaning in life years ago. I mainly just live out of pure habit.

Saying that life has no meaning is just an erroneous as saying that we live for God, Krishna, peace or whatever.

The true question here is: What does "meaning" even mean? Which is a paradox. Meaning is a concept that mankind created, and therefore the "meaning of life" could be interpreted to be in accordance to that, and so be to "create a better world for us humans" or something of the like.

But that would indeed be totally subjective. But can you assume that subjectiveness can be truly absent from reasoning that originates from a human being?

You can - and you uncounsciously will - redefine "meaning" to fit your vision of the world. This taken into account, life has a meaning, or doesn't, or both... what does this even mean after all?

I second both of these. I used to be real philosophical about things up till 1st year of uni, then realized that looking for absolute meaning itself is absolutely meaningless. Relative (temporary) meaning is quite important though.

The purpose of life is to have offspring. That's it. THE GRAND SECRET TO THE MEANING O' LIFE. If it has nothing to do with your survival, the siring of heirs, or the rearing of these fruits of your loins then it is just to preoccupy you during the copious amount of extra time you have. Human lives really are far too long. When it comes down to it pretty much everything humans do including overworking is just a distraction because you aren't getting laid.

Indeed. Although I would call that the objective instead of "meaning".

  13. Moeblob anime as a metaphor for life in general.

God damn if it's not the most meaningless thing ever, but it's pretty fun along the way.
