Inuyasha is finally set to draw to a close after 11 years of serialisation, it has been announced in the latest instalment, with the next chapter, 558, bringing the story to an end. Creator 高橋留美 / Rumiko Takahashi is said to be planning a prompt start to a new work, to be announced soon, rather than taking the opportunity for a break. Apparently, there are also some concerns over what effect this will have on Shonen Sunday, as Inuyasha was a major title for them.
Hopefully, the series is ended in an appropriate fashion, although with 11 years and 53 volumes it seems unlikely that this was rushed. Via AnimeAnime.

good fucking riddance, should have ended sooner, or even better, it could have never been made in the first place.
well, i think the series was great…11years long running series might look bad but until you look at Case Closed and potential Naruto/Bleach…i think its pretty normal for a series to run over a decade
