Devout fans of renowned kanmusu hoarding browser game Kantai Collection have been questioned as to which of the game’s vast fleet is their favorite, resulting in a list which seems to be heavily influenced by the recently concluded (though set to relaunch) anime.

...most useless ranking ever discovered.
This is surely based on people who watched the anime and most likely people who don't even play the game.
From all the other admirals I know, only a few ("few" like in 2 or 3) really like Fubuki.
Most admirals will just say that she's plain (in various ways :P ).
Though she at least became a bit less useless since she got K2 three months ago. Still plain as hell.
True that. How on earth is Fubuki even in the top 10? Let alone first place. Inazuma deserves to be in the top 10, not Fubuki.

She is, but only in passing during a tactical discussion between Nagato and Mutsu. Very early on... like episode 3 or 4.

I believe, the majority of Touhou fandom doesn't even know there were some games.
You don't need an anime to have big detached from the roots fandom.
But, few people played Kantai, because the sever doesn't work outside Japan and U.S.A.

USA? What? The game only alliws connections from Japan, even with the restriction there's a lot of players willing to set up VPNs to play, it's not that hard. The game is very popular even outside of Japan, do research plz
Lottery has been 7500-10000 thousand lately, not really hard to get in after a couple of tries.
15:07 - I dunno why people keep referring to using VPNs to setup/play the game, I never bothered setting up one and I'm in Australia.
22:22 - I use KanColleViewer myself, especially handy setting the JP region cookie.
I've done three lotteries (for myself and two others) - got in first try on each attempt. Easy stuff.
I probably went through 6 or 7 lotteries before getting in =P
And with a API Link you don't even need to worry about playing while on a VPN. Hell many people play using Browser plugins like KanColle Viewer.
The real issue is getting through the Lottery.

I think it's based on Anime popularity rather than game popularity. It would be completely different. If it was game.

According to ANN, both Fubuki and Akagi are first. How convenient (and sweet). Poor Kaga.
If you go by image count on danbooru Kaga has far more than Akagi or Fubuki. In fact I think only Shimakaze has more pictures.
Why is Fubuki no. 1? Aside from being the protagonist in the anime, she's the most boring one out of them... She has no notable qualities other than being kinda useless, and even that is only "kinda"! It's not like she's completely hopeless which would at least make her at least notable in that regard!
She's basically hit with the 'anime main protagonist' disease.

I do not like how the anime treated Hibiki. There's alot of her character traits that got cut and she's stuck spamming 'Horrorshow'.
