Death Note: The Musical Quite the Experience

Talent agency HoriPro has released a video digest of the ambitious Death Note musical that made its fateful debut this week, giving those unable to witness the magic for themselves a means of appreciating some of the unique songs played at the event.

The musical will feature at Tokyo’s Nissay Theater until the 29th of April, where it will then promptly venture to Osaka and Nagoya a month later.

Hey! that got Ami Meashima from "Super Girls" to be Lights sister - She's a sweetie. Aya Hirano was already Eponine in "Les Miserables" - this isn't big enough for her.
Interesting choice to cast the shinegami' as people, I had kind of hoped for something that would implement the work of shows like Warhorse or the Lion King stage shows, with a more human controlled structure/puppet, would have let the design team really go to town with the design and that imposing height that Ryuk and Rem have.
Issue with that is, It would have cost time, money and far more effort than they wanted to put into this.
