This show felt a bit directionless, it was nowhere near as good as the original Idolmaster series and I think most fans can see that.

Should have run 26 episodes like the original. You just cannot do a storyline of a process like becoming an idol in 13 episodes without skipping things.
iirc the show's second season will run in the fall, so it will eventually run the same length of the original.
You can see why they only did 13 episodes, the story was a bit er poor. At least with a break they can try and redeem the show and the characters. Otherwise it'll be known among most Idolmaster fans as a poor series.
For the second season they will go with a seasoned shonen genre favourite... A timeskip!

The anime adaptation is a loli hating piece of crap either ways, sexualizing everyone but not giving anything of the supposed erotic loli, Rika, also drawing her MS Paint tier navel.

I don't think you are watching the same show, I as a lolicon am enjoying this a shitton. Its not ecchi series so you can't expect visual ero like RKB or TLR stuff, but Rika has been represented just as you would expect if you know her from the game.
Rika isn't only erotic with what she wears (actually you need to + her in the game to get the sexy clothes and she starts with just a regular uniform on most of her cards), she is mainly sexy in the way she speaks and what she actually says.
Perhaps try actually listening to all the teasing she does instead of looking for visuals. (either that or you are misunderstanding what she says perhaps due to low quality/mistranslated subtitles).
So tldr: Rika isn't know as Sexy Rika because she wears skimpy clothes (that's what all failing loli shows these days do), she is sexy in the way she speaks and acts and thanks to her understanding of sexuality itself at her age (and that is what most loli shows fail to do with their loli characters).
All in all great show, can't wait for second season.
